The “Global Gauntlet” continues on “MasterChef” tonight. The 18 home cooks are in place, representing the four territories (Asia-Pacific, Africa, Europe, and the Americas) this season. The fight to be named the winner of “MasterChef” Season 16 continues tonight.
For tonight, the home cooks headed to the soccer field and teamed up with the U.S. Soccer Federation to serve lunch to 101 hungry kids. We’ll have a special guest judge, and even Gordon Ramsay will be heading out on the fields to serve as an honorary goalkeeper. Week 7 Begins
The chefs head to the soccer field, as Gordon Ramsay is playing goalie and the kids are trying to score on him! They are joined by Mauricio Pochettino, the head coach of Team USA. Today, we have a team challenge. We will share updates as tonight’s episode airs, so keep refreshing this page for the latest results!
8:12 p.m. – For tonight, we have a team challenge. The home cooks will need to cook meals for 101 people (100 kids and Mauricio). Heidi, for winning last week, got to pick the teams. She picked Africa and the Americas to join forces (Red Team) and Asia-Pacific and Europe (Blue Team). Dave is the captain for Red Team, and Ted for Blue Team. The winning team is immune for the night, with one home cook from the losing team going home.
8:20 p.m. – The teams are working on their dishes. The Blue Team went with extra sides, as they have more people (10) compared to the Red Team (8). However, the Blue Team is struggling. Dave is keeping calm as captain of the Red Team. Judges tasted Red Team’s dishes, and said it’s bland but has the makings of a great dish.
8:33 p.m. – The kids have arrived. The Blue Team is a mess, as they can’t seem to get it together on what they want as their sides. Ted is failing as a captain. On the Red Team, Heidi can’t seem to cook the chicken, so she keeps sending up raw chicken. Gordon isn’t happy!
8:43 p.m. – The Red Team gets it together and finally has chicken sandwiches heading out. Now, the Blue Team is screwing up the burgers and sending up raw meat. Meanwhile, Nico and Daniel are working the grill, and it’s on fire!

8:52 p.m. – All of the kids have been served. They are now voting for their favorites. Both teams had their faults and issues, so who will win?
