Rachael Ray Thanked Mom Elsa For All The Positive Ways She Impacted Her Life
Rachael Ray shared an emotional Mother’s Day message for her followers, where she reflected on facing Mother’s Day without her own mother, Elsa Scuderi, who passed away in December 2025.
The former Food Network star posted a message and a series of five personal photographs, all of which showed the mother and daughter’s close relationship. The intimate snapshots offered fans a rare glimpse into the cherished memories they shared.
Ray wrote in the caption, “This year is the first Mother’s Day I am spending without my best friend. Her final days were spent at home with her loved ones. With her hand wrapped in mine, I told her every story I could remember from the trips we took to the meals we made. All the moments that made us, us.”
“She enjoyed reliving the moments just as much as I would miss them for the rest of my life without her,” the celebrity chef said.
Additionally Ray wrote, “My mom taught me almost everything worth knowing. She was the toughest cookie with a heart bigger than the baking sheet. She taught me how to work harder than anyone in the room. How to walk into a kitchen and make something beautiful out of whatever is there. To know me is to love her. We weren’t just mother and daughter. We were best friends.”
