Ree Drummond’s Daughter Alex Shares Big News
On March 4, 2026, Ree Drummond’s daughter, Alex Drummond Scott, and her husband, Mauricio Scott, announced via Instagram that they were expecting a second child. The couple has one daughter, Sofia.
On April 10, the couple shared the news that they will welcome a son to their family. They posted a video on Instagram featuring Sofia and their beloved Golden Retriever, George, revealing the news.
The adorable video clip showed the couple opening an email that revealed the baby’s gender. The video featured baby Sofia wearing a blue dress, as she sat next to blue flowers and a tiny pair of blue cowboy boots.
In a blog post, Ree revealed that before the baby’s arrival, which is set to take place in September 2026, Alex and Mauricio shared yet another life update. They will travel as a family, along with Mauricio’s parents, to Sedona, Arizona, for a family vacation.
Then, the couple will head off on a baby-moon, anniversary getaway, she wrote, per information shared on Alex’s Instagram story.
Where Will Alex and Mauricio Head Off On Their Romantic Getaway?
According to Ree Drummond’s blog post, Alex Drummond Scott and her husband Mauricio Scott will head off on a romantic babymoon, anniversary trip to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico.
Alex wrote, ” it And then we actually just booked a little babymoon/anniversary getaway to CABO in a few weeks!!!! I’m so excited!” she continued. “We haven’t done a trip just the two of us since having Sofia, will be so nice to have some ‘us’ time before baby boy.”
The couple is celebrating their fifth anniversary on May 1, 2026. They wed in 2021 on her family’s ranch, located in Pawhuska, Oklahoma.
Alex and Mauricio met when they were students at Texas A&M University. They dated for four years before he proposed.
The couple welcomed daughter Sofia in December 2024. She will be 21 months older than her baby brother.
