‘Shark Tank’ Star’s Comeback on ‘Beat Bobby Flay’ After Scary Fall

A “Shark Tank” star is making a triumphant return to a beloved Food Network series after a nasty spill led to a broken wrist and an early exit.

Lori Greiner, the inventive mind and savvy investor known for her role on “Shark Tank,” takes her place among the many judges who have judged television chef Bobby Flay on his long-running cooking competition series. Her appearance brings her sharp business instincts into the high-stakes culinary showdown, and is long overdue after her prior judging appearance was cut short.

All About Lori Greiner’s ‘Beat Bobby Flay’ Appearance

In a clip shared to Food Network’s Instagram page, Lori Greiner’s upcoming appearance was teased. It’s caption read, “The stakes feel a little higher when a shark is watching. Lori Greiner and Scott Conant are bringing sharp instincts and even sharper critiques to the ‘Beat Bobby Flay’ kitchen this week.”

In the clip, Flay said, “I’m ready to put in 100 percent tonight but I’m sure I’m not going to get a buy in from these two. From Food Network its chef Scott Conant and from ‘Shark Tank,’ entrepreneur Lori Greiner.”

After Flay, Conant and Greiner sat down, Flay thanked the “Shark Tank” star for her appearance. He said, “Last time, you didn’t make it to the arena.”

She explained, “I broke my wrist. I went flying backwards.” Flay continued that “Lori was backstage and took a dive.”

Flay told the businesswoman that he “loves” her television series “Shark Tank. It’s such a great show.”

He added, “They call you the ‘warm blooded shark’ because you’re nice one.” She responded, “I’m the only nice one.”

Conant said his strategy for judging was “simple.” He added, “We are going to try and beat you.”

‘Beat Bobby Flay’ Viewers Shared Their Excitement Over the TV Crossover

Food Network fans shared their delight in Lori Greiner’s return to “Beat Bobby Flay.” She’s healthy and ready to watch other chefs try and beat the OG Food Network star in his own kitchen.

Most fans responded with smiley face emojis and red hearts to the news of the “Shark Tank” star’s triumphant return to the set of the Food Network series. Her episode is appropriately titled “Shark Bait.”

Their goal is to encourage chefs Derrell Smith and Chris Arellanes as they compete against one another. Then, the winner of that competition faced off against Flay with their signature dish. Flay then has to try and put his own spin on their famed entree to try and win the evening’s competition.

In a separate Facebook reel, Greiner and Scott Conant were asked by an off-camera producer, “If you had to pick a theme song for Bobby and ‘Beat Bobby Flay,’ what would it be?” The businesswoman replied, “I would say it would be Queen’s ‘We Are the Champions.'” Conant quipped, “I would go with Weird Al Yankovic’s ‘Eat It.’ Just eat it Bobby, just eat it.”

Lori Greiner’s “Beat Bobby Flay” episode, alongside celebrity chef Scott Conant, airs Thursday at 6 p.m. ET on Food Network.
