NASCAR, Here We Come
The teams arrive at Darlington Raceway. They meet host Tyler Florence, who has NASCAR Cup Series Driver Todd Gilliland and NASCAR Hype Man Mamba Smith. For this first challenge, the teams will be tasked with elevating tailgate food.
For this challenge, the team that creates the best-tasting dish, which Smith and Gilliland will judge, will get $300 for their till. Also, the team that creates its dish the fastest will be able to shut down two of the other trucks for one hour during the competition.
The teams get started on their dishes, as they each are trying to move as fast as possible. It’s a race to the judges, as Stop Drop N Roll makes it to them first. They win the speed portion of the challenge. That means they get to shut down two of the other trucks for one hour during this stop in Darlington on “The Great Food Truck Race” season 18.
The Challenge Results
The judges taste all of the dishes from the teams. We know that Stop Drop N Roll won the speed portion of the challenge. However, which team won the best-tasting dish?
While Gilliland and Smith thought all of the dishes were great and wanted them all to win, only one could. The winner of the best-tasting dish and gets $300 added to their till is Stop Drop N Roll. They hadn’t won a challenge before this, but swept both parts of this challenge.
The Selling Begins on ‘The Great Food Truck Race’
Now it is time for the teams to head out and find a spot to sell for the day. Cooking With Que is excited that Stop Drop N Roll won the challenge, as they have an alliance and feel safe from being shut down.
Meanwhile, Good Fortune Company knows they’ll be shut down for an hour, so they try to open up quickly. They want to get a jump start on sales before getting shut down.
Nishaan finds a selling spot, but it’s a very quiet spot. They have faith that people will come and enjoy their food.
Over on Cooking With Que, they seem to have an issue with the tickets, and they are not coming through correctly. This causes some tension between the ladies.
Shutting Down the Trucks
We then see Cooking With Que get a call from Stop Drop N Roll. They said they are shutting the ladies down. They are not happy, but it was all a joke! The alliance is real and it’s girl power.
Stop Drop N Roll decides to wait until the end of the day to shut down Nishaan and Good Fortune Company. They are hoping it will stop them from having sales and being able to get in any last-minute sales afterwards. Those teams are not happy, but the closures take place.
We then see Stop Drop N Roll and Cooking With Que working together to send customers to each other, as they want to both stay in the competition this week. Day 1 comes to an end, with one more day of selling to see which teams end up in the winner’s circle this week on “The Great Food Truck Race” 2025.
Day 2 of Selling
The teams are heading back out for day 2 of street selling in Darlington. Nishaan thought they had found a hot spot, but then all three of the other trucks arrived. The pressure will be on, as everyone will be battling it out in the same spot.
Good Fortune Company didn’t mess around, as they opened up real fast and made a quick sale.
Tyler then calls the teams, with one member of each team answering the phone. He is offering the teams a challenge, but they don’t have to accept it. He doesn’t tell them what the challenge is, but they have to say yes or no right then and there. All of them accept the challenge except Stop Drop N Roll, who said their line is too long and she can’t overwhelm them with a challenge added on.
The Special Optional Challenge
The other three teams shut down their trucks and head to the challenge. It’s all about boiled peanuts. The teams will have to craft a new dish with the boiled peanuts.
The teams are given three pounds of boiled peanuts. They must first shuck all three pounds of the nuts. For the challenge, they have to use all of the peanuts in creating their dishes. If they sell out of the dish they cook, Tyler will give them an additional $500 for their till. All three teams can get that $500 bonus.
Warner Bros. DiscoveryThe teams didn’t take long shucking those peanuts, as they are all back to their trucks in like 15 minutes. Stop Drop N Roll is freaking out now, as they think all of the teams will get the $500 bonus. They are even more upset after finding out it was peanuts, and they could have easily added them to their truck and sold out.
They were correct with their worries, as all three teams sold out of their peanut dishes. That means they all got the $500 bonus, but Stop Drop N Roll did not.
Tonight’s Results
The sales are done in Darlington, and time for the results on “The Great Food Truck Race” 2025. For a complete rundown of the teams and their sales for tonight:
- Good Fortune Company – $6,563
- Nishaan – $6,076
- Cooking with Que – $5,633
- Stop Drop N Roll – $5,468
Despite winning their first challenge and shutting down two of the trucks, Stop Drop N Roll finished in last place. However, like a NASCAR race, it comes in legs. This was only the first leg of this race, and it continues now.
No teams were eliminated tonight on “The Great Food Truck Race” season 18. Instead, they will carry over their sales from tonight. The teams will next head to Virginia Beach, Virginia, where another team will be eliminated.
However, as the teams head out, we see more tension between the ladies of Cooking With Que. Ari has had enough, and she steps off the truck and might quit the truck. Does that mean Cooking With Que would have to step aside this late into the game?
What did you think of the results tonight on “The Great Food Truck Race” 2025?
