Week 2 Begins
The night starts with the chefs talking after last week’s elimination. Nana is thankful to be here and knows she has to prove she deserves to be here. We will provide updates as tonight’s episode airs, so keep refreshing the page for the latest updates.
9:42 p.m. – The chefs have started tonight’s Quickfire Challenge, which is to make a savory dish inspired by a sweet treat. These dishes will be served with a scoop of the gelato that inspired their dishes.
9:56 p.m. – For the Quickfire Challenge, Laurence won, earning $10,000 for his dish. Then the chefs learn they will be working in teams for the Elimination Challenge, which has them making a seven-course meal that will get progressively hotter with each dish.
10:08 p.m. – The chefs are working on their dishes for the Elimination Challenge, as we have some drama with the spice levels.
10:15 p.m. – The service has begun, as we have made it through the first two courses and the judges are already sweating!
10:31 p.m. – The judges have tasted all of the courses, so time to discuss and pick a winner.
Judge’s Table on ‘Top Chef’ Season 23
The judges have discussed all of the dishes, and now is the time to pick a winner. They decided that the Green Team had their favorite meal of the day.
While they were impressed with all of the dishes, the winner of this challenge is Rhoda (two wins in a row)! She wins immunity for the next Elimination Challenge. That means the Red Team had their least favorite menu, and one of them will be going home.
It looks like Justin, Jassi, and Nana had their least favorite dishes for this challenge.
The judges discuss the three dishes. It looks like the lamb was too dry and not spicy enough for the last course. That means Jassi has been eliminated tonight.
