These contestants will be put to the test every week, and the premiere kicks off on Thursday, January 29, 2026.
For this new season, it will air at 8 p.m. ET on FOX. New episodes will be available to stream the next day on Hulu. That means the only spot to catch the premiere episode of “Next Level Chef” season 5 is on FOX tonight.
How Does ‘Next Level Chef’ Work?
For this cooking competition, Gordon Ramsay will help mentor the contestants along with former “Top Chef” contestant Nyesha Arrington and “Top Chef” season 4 runner-up Richard Blais.
The cooks will be divided into three teams and have different challenges to complete each episode. The mentors will each be assigned to one of the teams, so they’re competing for the win also. The competition takes place over the three-level kitchen created for “Next Level Chef.”
The cooks will use all three levels to cook, with the basement level having equipment that leaves a lot to be desired. Then the middle level is just your average kitchen, and the top level is a state-of-the-art kitchen.
When all is said and done, one baker will be chosen as the winner of “Next Level Chef” season 5. For winning, the lucky cook will take home $250,000.
