“Friends” Star Lisa Kudrow Finally Decides: Team Ross or Team Rachel?

“Friends” fans have been divided on whether they’re Team Ross or Team Rachel ever since the classic “We were on a break!” episode aired in 1997. Now, Lisa Kudrow has weighed in with her opinion.

In a March 20 interview, the “Friends” alum has revealed which character she sides with – changing her stance from a previous opinion.

Kudrow, who starred as Phoebe on the hit show, recently revealed her alliance during an interview with “Entertainment Tonight.”

She said she used to be Team Ross, but has now changed her mind and has joined Team Rachel.

“I’ve switched. I’ve made a switch,” she claimed, joking “Ross was ridiculous. What a baby.”

“You can’t plan a future with that guy. That’s how I feel now.”

The episode in question takes place in the third season of “Friends.” After a heated argument, Rachel (Jennifer Aniston) tells her boyfriend Ross (David Schwimmer) that they should take a break.

Ross then spends the night in a bar before taking another woman (Chloe, played by Angela Featherstone) home with him.

Rachel then discovers Ross’s betrayal, leading to the infamous scene. Ross tries unsuccessfully to defend his actions by claiming “We were on a break!” However, it’s to no avail, as Rachel chooses to break up with him – leading to a “will they/won’t they” storyline that continued throughout the show’s run.

In a previous interview with James Corden for the show’s 2021 reunion special, Kudrow had claimed that Ross and Rachel were indeed on a break. In fact, all of the cast members had agreed with this take, reported E! Online.

Kudrow recently revealed on a “Jimmy Kimmel Live” appearance that she has been rewatching the “Friends” series, which has left her “delighted.”

“Everyone’s hilarious and I’m laughing out loud,” she told Kimmel.

However, she claims she is “too embarrassed” to watch the show with her husband Michel Stern, who “goes to sleep” before she watches herself on screen.

She joked she liked to “watch a sitcom before bed,” and “Friends” is the only one she hasn’t finished.

Kudrow is currently promoting the third and final of her show “The Comeback.” Her friends co-stars have praised the show, with Courtney Cox calling Kudrow “amazing,” PEOPLE reported. Jennifer Aniston said the character of Valerie Cherish “relatable, loveable and adored.”
