The “General Hospital” actor shared a striking gym selfie on his Instagram, showing off his ripped abs after recently giving an update on his 6-year remission from kidney cancer.
Mathison captioned the photo, which features him standing shirtless in front of a mirror, explaining the remarkable improvements his body has achieved since being cancer-free.

“Health360 works,” the former Hallmark star wrote, referring to his customizable health and wellness program, which he launched in May 2020, one year after he was diagnosed with renal cell carcinoma, a form of kidney cancer, in 2019, People reported.
His caption continued, pointing out the drastic changes he’s seen after prioritizing his health.
“6 years cancer free,” Mathison wrote, adding that his kidney function, lean muscle and energy have significantly improved. He also shared that test results showed how his toxin levels, inflammation and body fat have decreased.
“MASSIVE improvement,” the “Hannah Swensen Mystery” film star emphasized.
Fans of the shredded — and healthy — film and television star expressed their shock at his impressive results in the comments of the post, agreeing that his decision to take charge of his wellness after learning of his cancer diagnosis several years ago was something to be very proud of.

Mathison’s droolworthy gym selfie and detailed results of his routine post-cancer checkup come days after he expressed gratitude to his fans for following along as he waited to hear back from the doctor.
When the Great American Family actor was first diagnosed, he underwent a partial nephrectomy to remove a tumor and part of a kidney, People reported. After his surgery, he told his supportive fans in an Instagram post that the tumor on his kidney was gone. Fortunately, his health continues to be rectified — especially with the help of his structured wellness routine.
On the official website for his Health360 program, Mathison went into great detail about the changes he made to achieve the clean bill of health he now has.
