‘When Hope Calls’ Coming to Netflix Next Month

“When Hope Calls” is officially making its Netflix debut next month.

The beloved spinoff of Hallmark’s original series “When Calls the Heart” is reportedly coming to the streaming giant on September 14, with at least the first two seasons available to stream, according to What’s on Netflix.

The outlet also reported that the recently released third season could be included, although there has been no confirmation yet. It is also worth noting that only the United States is currently scheduled to pick up the show.

A Closer Look at ‘When Hope Calls’

In Season 1 of “When Hope Calls,” which originally aired on Hallmark+, newly reunited sisters Lillian (Morgan Kohan) and Grace (Jocelyn Hudon) move to the 1916 Western town of Brookfield to open an orphanage. Across the 10-episode season, they face a series of challenges, from community resistance and fires to romance and government inspections, as they work to build a loving home for the children in their care.

Meanwhile, “When Hope Calls” Season 2 aired on Great American Family and consisted of eight episodes. The season introduced several new characters who became integral to the orphanage and the children, as well as the surrounding farms, ranchlands, and the town of Brookfield.

“We were fortunate early on to understand that Janette Oke’s faith-filled characters had such rich origins that building entertainment universes from this world would present themselves over and over,” Bill Abbott, President & CEO, Great American Media, said in a statement.

As for the series’ third season, which also airs on GAC, it picks up following a series of dramatic events, including cattle raids and Nora’s potential legal troubles involving her former boss.

The core cast of “When Hope Calls” includes Morgan Kohan as Lillian Walsh, Jocelyn Hudon as Grace Bennett (Season 1), Ryan-James Hatanaka as Mountie Gabriel Winslow, Greg Hovanessian as Chuck Stewart, Wendy Crewson as Tess Stewart, Hanneke Talbot as Maggie Parsons, Jefferson Brown as Joe Moody, Neil Crone as Ronnie Stewart, and Marshall Williams as Sam Tremblay.

Season 3 features other celebrated cast members, including Cindy Busby, Christopher Russell, Sarah Fisher, Nick Bateman, and Trevor Donovan, who bring new life and unforgettable moments to the cherished community of Brookfield.

In May 2026, Great American Media announced that “When Hope Calls: Brookfield” had been renewed for a fourth season, which is set to premiere in spring 2027.

“‘When Hope Calls: Brookfield’ is led by one of the most talented ensembles working in television today, and their performances continue to elevate this series in extraordinary ways,” Abbott said in a statement. “From its exceptional cast to its cinematic production values and deeply emotional storytelling, I would put this series up against anything else on television. Built on a beloved foundation that audiences have cherished for years, ‘When Hope Calls: Brookfield’ has all the ingredients of a timeless franchise that will continue to thrive for a very long time.”

Previously, Netflix licensed earlier seasons of Hallmark’s “When Calls the Heart.” However, the streamer eventually stopped acquiring the rights to newer seasons, leading to the show’s eventual removal from the platform. “When Calls the Heart” permanently left Netflix in January 2021.
