Sarah Drew Moved to Tears by Son’s Powerful Confidence: ‘Hard to Put Into Words’

Sarah Drew’s son, Micah Emmanuel, is well on his way to following in her footsteps as an actor, leaving the Hallmark star lost for words as she celebrated his latest achievements.

In an Instagram post from Sarah, she celebrated her 14-year-old for his growing confidence, thanks to the support of his peers and teachers at the A Noise Within Theatre, where Micah has been performing in William Shakespeare’s “Richard III.” The play began in February and will conclude its runtime on Sunday, March 8.


Sarah Drew ‘Overwhelmed’ with Joy Over Son Micah

As the “Mistletoe Murders” actress reflected on her son’s incredible growth, she couldn’t help but express her deep appreciation for the blessings she and her family have experienced, including the army of people that have helped Micah in his fruition.

“Feeling pretty overwhelmed with gratitude as Micah heads into his final weekend of Richard Ill at @anoisewithin,” Sarah wrote under her 18-photo Instagram carousel. “This community has changed his life in the most extraordinary way. His director and cast and crew of brilliant adults have welcomed him in as one of their own. They’ve encouraged him and made him feel safe and strong.”

Sarah continued by emphasizing how she’s seen firsthand how Micah’s zest for acting has naturally grown thanks to his theater family fostering him with momentum.

“His heart and his passion and his talent and confidence have grown exponentially within the walls of this theater over these past few months,” she wrote.


‘I’ve Been Crying On and Off All Day’

The Stars Between Us” actress went on to express what a profound and positive impact it is to have her family and friends show up to support Micah in the show. Sarah noted that she saw the performance six times. During which, she was accompanied by loved ones, including her husband, Peter Lanfer, her parents, Hallmark colleagues and more. 

“There’s something so moving and so powerful when people show up for and celebrate your kids,” Sarah shared. “It’s an extra layer and depth of love that is hard to put into words. All I know is l’ve been crying on and off all day today. My heart is so full of gratitude for the community that has loved my kid at @anoisewithin and my community of friends who have loved my kid with me.”

“I know the crash of the end of this show will be deep and wide so we are soaking up every bit of what this present moment has to offer right now,” Sarah continued. “Life is full and wondrous and as always- all of the everything all at once.”

Within the tail end of her post, the actress also teased a new project of her own, which she didn’t go into detail about. Whether it was the surge of oxytocine from reflecting on her happiness or a tiny Easter egg for her fans, one thing is for sure: Sarah Drew is on to something big after celebrating her son’s success!
