“Gilmore Girls” star Scott Patterson has revealed what comes next after his shocking “Sullivan’s Crossing” exit. The actor already addressed his departure from The CW show ahead of Season 4, and now Patterson’s putting that in his review as he embarks on a new adventure.
Scott Patterson Hits The Road After Leaving ‘Sullivan’s Crossing’
On an episode of his I Am All In with Scott Patterson podcast, the actor revealed he’s going on a short tour with a full band to do something he loves dearly: play music.
“We’re going on tour! So the tour starts on April 19. It goes through, of this year, actually, and it goes through the middle of May, mostly on the East Coast and a little bit in the Midwest and one hit in California, but it’s just an 11-city tour,” he expressed.
The Midnight Highway Tour kicks off, as Patterson said, on April 19 in Tracy, California. From there, Patterson will make stops in St. Charles, Illinois; Philadelphia and Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; New Haven, Connecticut; Indianapolis, Indiana; Columbus, Ohio; Providence, Rhode Island; Portsmouth, New Hampshire; Boston, Massachusetts; and New York City, New York.
“We’re going to do covers. We’re going to do originals, that kind of thing,” the actor shared.
Patterson explained that he’s been wanting to do a full band tour after playing acoustically in coffee shops and small venues for years. In 2017, Patterson embarked on his first music tour, Atomic Love, which featured him playing very intimate acoustic performances.
Almost a decade later, he’s making his dream of going on tour with a full band come true. Patterson can’t wait to interact with fans in this new setting.
Why Scott Patterson’s Ready for Something New
During the podcast, Patterson didn’t speak about leaving “Sullivan’s Crossing”. Instead, he focused on this next chapter in his life, revealing why he can’t wait to get out on the road.
“It’s great being out there. And you know, there’s something about putting on a show. It gets people really happy. Everybody associated with it is happy. The fans are happy. Everybody in the band is excited. Everybody that’s supporting the band, the staff at the venues, they’re happy. It’s just a fun time,” the podcast host stated.
Patterson admitted that playing music for a crowd can be a spiritual experience, especially when he sees fans not only enjoying themselves but also having the music lift them up. The actor added that being on stage and seeing the way fans react to the music is very peaceful for him.
“It’s just nice to be a part of that,” Patterson shared before adding that playing music is simply something else he loves to do and is another way for him to connect with fans.
