“The Nanny” star Fran Drescher revealed that she would be the first in line to officiate a future wedding for “Marty Supreme” co-star Timothée Chalamet and “The Kardashians” star Kylie Jenner, if the couple asked her.
Drescher, who played Chalamet’s mother in the feature film, offered up her services as an officiant in an E! News interview. She joked that she already has her officiant credentials.
Fran Drescher is Ready to Pronounce Timothée Chalamet, Kylie Jenner Married
The former “Nanny” star Fran Drescher told E! News that she would marry Timothée Chalamet and Kylie Jenner “if they asked me to. I do officiate gay weddings, so I certainly can branch out and officiate this if they wanted me to.”
However, her offer doesn’t mean the couple is engaged. Nor does this mean they have already asked her to perform the role.
Drescher revealed that when and if the couple does become engaged in the future, she feels she may not be the one pronouncing them man and wife. She said, “I have a feeling they’re not going to ask.”
However, the actress added that after playing Chalamet’s mother in “Marty Supreme,” she feels very maternal toward the 30-year-old actor. Drescher called her co-star “sweet and vulnerable and charming.”
“When we did some press on the top of the Empire State Building, he was actually afraid of heights. I kind of felt the need to mother him in that moment, I felt very worried about him,” she added.
“He is darling. A darling, very talented man,” Drescher concluded.
Fran Drescher is a ‘fan’ of Timothée Chalamet
During a late 2025 press stop to promote the “Marty Supreme” on “Late Night With Seth Meyers,” Fran Drescher revealed that she did not know Timothée Chalamet before they worked together. However, she admitted she was a “fan” of his work.
“I’ve watched all of his movies,” the former SAG-AFTRA president said. But, she added, “we hadn’t met when Josh [Safdie] offered me the part of his mother.”
“I’m in L.A., and I get a call from Josh. They had already started shooting,” the actress continued.
“He said, ‘We are going to shoot a scene where he’s on the phone talking to you. So we are going to hook it up so you can feed him the lines from L.A.'”
Despite not sharing that particular scene together, Chalamet wanted to meet with Drescher so they could establish a working relationship. She joked that as soon as she got his number, she made a contact for it in her phone, “immediately.” She joked, “Why shouldn’t I have Timothée Chalamet’s phone number in my contacts?”
The cast of “Marty Supreme” was nominated in the category of Outstanding Performance by a Cast in A Motion Picture at the 2026 Actor Awards. They lost to “Sinners.”
