Natalie Portman Welcomes Baby No. 3

Natalie Portman is officially a mom of three.

The “Black Swan” star welcomed her third baby, her first child with partner Tanguy Destable, in Paris last month, according to PEOPLE.

The new arrival joins Portman’s two older children, son Aleph, 15, and daughter Amalia, 9. She shares both children with her ex-husband, director-choreographer Benjamin Millepied.

Portman Opened Up About Her Pregnancy in April

Portman revealed she was expecting her third baby during an April interview with Harper’s Bazaar. At the time, she opened up about the pregnancy and how she was approaching the major life change.

“Tanguy and I are very excited,” she told the publication. “I’m just very grateful. I know it’s such a privilege and a miracle.”

The Oscar-winning actress said the pregnancy felt different from her earlier experiences, describing it as a calmer period in her life.

She also explained why she was particularly focused on appreciating the experience.

“There is a gratitude that when you’re young, you don’t necessarily grasp,” she said. “And there’s a calm and knowing myself: who I want to spend time with, what kind of energy I want around me that makes the experience so beautiful every day. And knowing it’s probably the last time, I cherish every moment.”

During the interview, Portman said she was staying active while pregnant, including swimming and doing gyrotonics to “keep strong.” She was also spending plenty of time with her children, “which is always the best.”

After finishing several projects, she said she was enjoying a slower pace while preparing for the baby.

Portman was especially happy to experience the pregnancy in Paris. She talked about the city’s spring weather and the simple activities she could enjoy while taking a break from work.

“There’s been beautiful spring weather,” she said, adding, “so it’s been pretty amazing to just walk in the incredible parks here and go see art. Just the usual things you do when you’re not working!”

She also joked about France’s approach to pregnancy timelines.

“In France, they consider full-term to be 41 weeks rather than 40, so I guess I get an extra week to be pregnant this time around.”

Portman Shared Her Baby Bump to Social Media

Portman later gave fans a glimpse of her pregnancy in July when she shared an image of her growing bump on social media. She paired the photo with a short but emotional caption: “Counting down the days until we meet.”

The post prompted a warm response from her famous friends, many of whom filled the comments with heart emojis.

Now, that countdown is over.

Portman is settling into life as a mother of three alongside Destable. The actress has generally kept her family life away from the spotlight, making the birth another meaningful milestone for a family that has grown while she continues to navigate major changes in both her personal and professional life in recent years, too.

The couple’s relationship was confirmed in March 2025 after they were linked by French outlet Voici.

The birth also marks a new chapter for Portman, who has continued building a busy acting career while raising her children. Her recent work includes “The Gallerist,” and she also appeared in “Thor: Love and Thunder.”
