“The Challenge: Vets & New Threats” will be wrapping up in the next few weeks, but there are still plenty of challengers left in the game as we head into episode 13. Here’s everything that happened, including who was eliminated, on MTV’s “The Challenge” season 41.
Last episode, Dee Valladares and Derek Kosinski lost the elimination to Theo Campbell and Adrienne Naylor.
Today’s Daily Challenge
Today’s daily challenge asked players to carry hay barrels to a key, stack as many barrels as they needed to reach the key. Each team must do this twice, requiring them to carry a significant number of hay barrels each. The keys were then used to open a chest. The first team to open their chest wins. The duos were connected by a chain, forcing them to move at the same pace.
Nany Gonzales and Justin Hinsley won, narrowly beating Theo and Adrienne. At the very last moment, Turbo Çamkıran and Sydney Segal beat Leroy Garrett and America Lopez. Leroy and America are going into the elimination. This will be America’s first real elimination on “The Challenge.” In week three, America was supposed to compete against Nia Moore, but Nia’s injury prevented the elimination from happening at all.
Who Was Sent Into Elimination?
As no one opted to “stake a claim,” who was sent into elimination was determined by a house vote. Although Theo and Adrienne tried to get Sydney and Turbo sent in to compete against America and Leroy. However, they couldn’t get enough votes to go their way, and Theo and Adrienne were once again sent into elimination.
Today’s Elimination Challenge
America, Leroy, Theo, and Adrienne were faced with a puzzle elimination. All four of the competitors have to stand on a spinning platform, with each duo being assigned two puzzles to solve. While the platform is spinning, the puzzles are not, meaning everyone has very little time to move their tangram pieces before the platform drags them away.
America and Leroy were very excited to be given a puzzle elimination, due to the size disparity between them and Theo and Adrienne. Leroy, typically not one for puzzles, said, “I’ve never been so excited in my life” to be given a puzzle.
Theo and Adrienne finished their first puzzle before Leroy and America were able to finish any puzzles. Leroy and America, typically good communicators, struggled to get on the same page regarding their tangrams.
After 45 minutes, host TJ Lavin gave the challengers the opportunity to spend one minute at each puzzle station. Very quickly, America was able to solve her first puzzle. Ultimately, however, Adrienne and Theo eked out a win, sending America and Leroy home.
