Dolly Parton Salutes Ozzy Osbourne’s Legacy During Emotional BRIT Awards Moment

Country legend Dolly Parton paid a touching tribute to rock icon Ozzy Osbourne during the 2026 ceremony of the BRIT Awards, honoring his enduring influence after he received a posthumous Lifetime Achievement Award.

Appearing virtually during the Saturday, February 28 ceremony, Parton reflected on Osbourne’s legacy and stage presence.

Parton’s Kind Words About Ozzy

“Ozzy Osbourne dedicated his entire life to music and his legacy has left a permanent imprint in the fabric of music lovers everywhere,” she said in the tribute video. “Now talk about stealing the show.”

She also praised the late Black Sabbath frontman for his larger-than-life persona and unforgettable performances.

“Ozzy knew how to get your attention with his love of theatrics, his musical gifts—he could turn any occasion into a full-blown show,” she added. “And at his very core, Ozzy Osbourne was a showman.”

The moment came as Osbourne was honored months after his death in July at age 76.

The ceremony included a performance by Robbie Williams, who teamed up with members of Osbourne’s touring band for a rendition of “No More Tears,” celebrating his decades-spanning catalog.

Sharon Osbourne previously teased the performance in a social media post prior to the award ceremony.

Sharon and Kelly Accepted the Award

Ozzy’s family also appeared onstage to accept the award, according to People.

Sharon began her speech by telling the crowd just how much he disliked speeches.

“I know that Ozzy is looking down on us all right now, and I know what he is thinking. He hated to make speeches. He hated listening to speeches. He’d be saying, ‘Hey, missus, shut the [explicative] up!’” she jokingly said.

Sharon continued, “He may not be here, but he left us one amazing body of work that will never be forgotten by the country that made him.”

She ended her speech by adding, “There will never be another Ozzy [explicative] Osbourne!” which caused the crowd to erupt with applause.

Their daughter Kelly Osbourne thanked fans for their love and ended with a playful nod to her dad’s beloved Aston Villa F.C.

“Thank you for loving my father as much as we do,” she said and added, “Up the Villa and Birmingham forever.”

Parton’s tribute stood out for its warmth and admiration across genres, reminding viewers how deeply Osbourne’s artistry resonated beyond heavy metal.

Her words captured the respect shared among musicians who recognize the passion and dedication it takes to build a career that spans generations.
