Kelly Osbourne Shares Emotional Statement About ‘Endless and Disastrous’ Grief

Months after losing her father, Kelly Osbourne is opening up about the complicated reality of grief and how it continues to shape her life.

Her father, rock icon Ozzy Osbourne, died last July at age 76 from heart failure at his home in Buckinghamshire. Known worldwide as the “Prince of Darkness,” Ozzy’s passing left an enormous void in both the music world and within his tight-knit family.

Kelly Details Her Grief

Taking to Instagram her Instagram Stories on Sunday, Feb. 22, Kelly shared an emotional reflection about the lasting weight of loss. “Some grief doesn’t end. It changes shape. It becomes the quiet weight you learn to carry, the ache woven into your days,” she wrote. “Making it through doesn’t mean leaving it behind. It means finding the strength to live and love and keep going even with forever resting in your heart.”

She continued, describing grief as something that can feel overwhelming and consuming. “When grief feels endless and disastrous, like it’s unmaking you from the inside out, surviving isn’t about conquering it. It’s about enduring it,” Kelly continued. “It’s about standing in the wreckage of our own heart and whispering, ‘I am still here,’ even when every part of you feels shattered.”

Kelly’s candid words resonated with fans who have followed her family’s journey for decades—from reality TV to Ozzy’s health struggles in recent years.

She later shared a screenshot which made numerous sentences about missing everything about a person, and she heartbreakingly added “7 months today.”

She followed it up with a video of a sign that said “Ozzy [explicative] Osbourne.”

Sharon Osbourne Shared a Touching Valentine’s Day Post

Her message came shortly after her mother, Sharon Osbourne, marked her first Valentine’s Day without Ozzy.

Sharon posted her own tribute, highlighting just how difficult the milestone was without her husband of more than four decades.

The image was of the two holding hands with the simple caption, “Forever Valentine.”

For the Osbourne family, grief has been public but also intensely personal.

Kelly’s words show how mourning doesn’t follow a neat timeline—and how love for someone doesn’t fade after they’re gone.

Instead, as she described, it becomes something carried forward every day.

Through her tribute, Kelly reminded fans that healing isn’t about forgetting the people we love—it’s about learning how to live with their memory, honoring them in quiet ways, and finding strength even when heartbreak feels endless.

  1. I’m sorry for their loss and we all miss Ozzy but this is just their way of still being relative. Move on Osbourne family the way we all must do. Every time I read something about music there’s always something about both kids and mom who frankly never really were or will be famous without Ozzy! Go on with your lives but your private moments about your lives should stay private and not now and will never be an avenue to you being famous like he was!!!
