Australian superstar sisters Kylie Minogue and Dannii Minogue have brilliantly and hilariously recreated a family photograph from all the way back in 1988.
“Princess of Pop” Kylie is, of course, a singer and actress who who rose to fame in the late 1980s and early 1990s starring in soap opera “Neighbours,” and with songs like “The Loco-Motion,” “I Should Be So Lucky” and “Tears on My Pillow.”
Dannii took a similar route to fame, starting her showbusiness career in the 1980s on soap opera “Home and Away,” before releasing notable records like “Love and Kisses”, “Jump to the Beat” and “Success.” She is now better known for her reality show appearances, having been a judge on the likes of “The X Factor UK,” “Australia’s Got Talent,” “The X Factor Australia,” and “The Masked Singer Australia.”
Now, Kylie, 58, and Dannii, 54, have come together to recreate their 38-year-old sibling snap and shared it with their fans and followers on social media.
Kylie & Dannii Minogue Recreated the Picture in Front of the Eiffel Tower
Kylie Minogue and Dannii Minogue shared their recreation of their 1988 family photograph with their combined four million followers on their Instagram accounts.
The lovely post includes a 22-second video of Kylie and Dannii standing beneath the Eiffel Tower. Kylie says, “Okay, we’re here in Paris by the iconic Eiffel Tower and we’re gonna attempt to recreate an iconic photograph from 1988.”
At that point, a picture of the nostalgic snap appears, showing the pair when they would have been around 20 and 16, respectively. In it, Kylie, clad in double denim, leans in, while Dannii holds what appears to be a purse up to her chest and pulls a funny face.
Kylie then asks Dannii, “Can we do it?” To which Dannii replies, “My goodness. I don’t even know if I can pull this face anymore, but let’s try.” Kylie then says, “Of course you can” and the gorgeous pair get into position.
Following a 1, 2, 3 count by Kylie, they recreate their 1988 poses perfectly and burst out laughing before the video ends.
The sisters’ caption on their post reads, “Sisters in Paris and just HAD to recreate this vintage family pic. One frame then. One frame now!!! Nailed it!! LOVE THIS SO MUCH!!”

Fellow Australian singer and soap star, Natalie Imbruglia, commented with three emojis, writing, “🩷🩷⚡️.”
One of the Minogues’ followers commented, “Imagine taking a walk under the tower and seeing you two from the back taking these pics and not realising til you got back to your hotel who you just strolled past 😭.”
A follower from the Philippines wrote, “Very adorable but nailed the great recreation of a photograph memories📸.”

We have to agree with all the commenters. Not only did Kylie and Dannii nail their recreation, they also looked absolutely fabulous doing it.
Earlier this year, in June, the Netflix documentary “Kylie” released. Per IMDb, it “Follows Kylie Minogue as she opens her personal archives and reflects on her career, addressing public scrutiny, personal loss and illness through home movies and interviews.” Her sister Dannii also features in the series.
