Lady Gaga and Michael Polansky have kept their romance largely private for years, and now that privacy is fueling speculation that they may have quietly taken the next step.
Friends of the longtime couple reportedly believe former “American Horror Story” star Gaga, 40, and Michael may have eloped after spending several weeks away from the public eye, the Daily Mail reported on Wednesday, September 9.
Neither Gaga nor Michael has publicly confirmed that they are married. The speculation comes months after Gaga said their wedding was approaching.

A source told the Daily Mail that people close to the couple have been wondering whether a private ceremony already took place. “No one has seen her or heard from her in over a month,” the insider claimed. “Everyone in her circle thinks she eloped with Michael and is on her honeymoon now, trying to make a baby,” the source added.
GettyGaga has remained active on social media, including promoting her Haus Labs beauty line and sharing a Polaroid of herself on August 25.
Her most recent reported public sighting came in August when she posed for a selfie with a fan in Northern California.
What Has Lady Gaga Said About Her Wedding Plans?
Gaga has made no secret of wanting to marry Michael. During a March appearance on Bruno Mars’ “Romantic Radio” iHeartRadio livestream, she offered a straightforward update.
“We’re getting married soon,” Gaga said.
The singer has also acknowledged that eloping has crossed their minds. Speaking to Rolling Stone in November, she described trying to find space for a ceremony during breaks in her demanding schedule. “It’s like, ‘OK, can we get married that weekend?’” she said.

Michael has previously suggested the couple was not interested in turning their wedding into an enormous event.
“We don’t want a really big wedding, but we want to enjoy it,” he told Rolling Stone in November 2025. “In a lot of ways, we already feel married, so it’s not like it’s gonna change much.”
Gaga previously joked during a 2024 appearance on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” that they had discussed simply “going to the courthouse” and “ordering Chinese food.”
The couple began dating in 2019 and confirmed their engagement publicly during the 2024 Paris Olympics.

Marriage is not the only milestone Gaga has discussed. The “Bad Romance” singer has openly spoken about wanting children with Michael. “Being a mom is the thing I want the most.
