Ultimately, the two of them decided to go their separate ways for good. Amid the divorce, rumors that the “Bodak Yellow” performer was dating Stefon Diggs began to swirl.
The following year, they made their relationship Instagram official just weeks after their first public appearance together at a New York Knicks game. It wasn’t long before the femcee announced that she was pregnant with her fourth child, whom she gave birth to last November.
Cardi B’s romance with the NFL star appeared to be going as strong as ever until earlier this year, shortly after the New England Patriots lost the Super Bowl. Rumors that they’d called it quits started to run rampant, and the status of their relationship has been up in the air ever since. Last month, however, fans began to suspect some serious trouble in paradise.

Fortunately, during a recent interview with “TMZ,” Diggs decided to shed some light on what exactly went down between him and the Grammy-winner that day. According to him, the public has got it all wrong.
“What argument?” he asked when the viral video came up. “I don’t even think that was an argument.” He continued to brush off the rumored drama, saying, “It’s okay,” and “women get like that sometimes.”
The athlete didn’t stop there, however. He went on to shower Cardi with praise, making it abundantly clear how he feels about her. “That’s a beautiful, talented mother. I love her to death,” he explained. As for whether or not they’re on or off at this point, he says, “You have to ask her.”

GettyDiggs isn’t the only one to downplay the supposed argument, either. As footage of the dramatic moment began circulating online, Cardi hopped on Twitter/X to set the record straight. She suggested that whatever happened between them wasn’t a big deal whatsoever, even blaming the tense interaction on an unfulfilled appetite.
“Sometimes I forget I’m a celebrity,” she tweeted. “Y’all ain’t never cuss your babydad out when you hungry?”
Diggs’ latest remarks about Cardi don’t exactly come as a huge surprise. After all, she was spotted supporting him at an event for his Diggs Deep foundation just last month, where they appeared to have a blast.
