Anne Hathaway has reunited with her fellow castmates of “The Devil Wears Prada” for its sequel, and she’s spilling all about who was the set’s biggest diva.
The actress named names during a guest spot on “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.” She said this cast member is the most “fussy” of all.
Who’s The Biggest Diva on the Set of ‘The Devil Wears Prada 2?’
During a press tour to promote her film “Mother Mary,” Anne Hathaway spilled details about the filming of “The Devil Wears Prada 2” to talk show host Stephen Colbert. He pressed her for information about the film, including which cast member acted like the biggest diva.
The actress, who stars in the film alongside Emily Bunt, Meryl Streep and Stanley Tucci, was quick to name names. She cited Tucci as the set’s biggest diva.
Colbert asked, “And why is it Stanley Tucci?” Hathaway responded, “Oh he’s just, he’s so fussy about his clothes!”
But that wasn’t all Hathaway had to say about her co-star. Tucci, who is known for his culinary abilities and love of food, reportedly has not cooked anything for his friend of 20 years.
“That [expletive] has not made me a morsel,” Hathaway joked.
“I have dropped so many hints that I would love to know,” she continued. “I was like, ‘Oh so you went to Italy, and you learned this dish, what’s it like?’ And he’ll tell me, but I have not yet received a crumb. What am I doing wrong?”
Anne Hathaway Says Reuniting With the ‘Devil Wears Prada’ Cast Was ‘So Much Fun’
It’s been 20 years since the original “Devil Wears Prada” film was released, and Anne Hathaway says the experience of making the film sequel was just as enjoyable as the original. She told Stephen Colbert, “It was so much fun.”
“It’s so great,” she continued. “It felt so special when we were making [the original movie].”
She continued, “I kind of anticipated people were gonna love the movie. But what its been and what its become and this 20 year relationship that I get to have with the movie from the making of it.”
The actress concluded, “But now I get to have with, like, the world. The audience has taken it into their hearts. That’s why we’re here, that’s why we came back all these years later was because the audience wanted it.”
“It wasn’t us being like, ‘hey guys, check us out. We’re back, remember?’ There’s this love and this yearning to see what these characters have been up to. It felt like I got to be in this supergroup 20 years ago and we got back together to make another album.”
“The Devil Wears Prada 2″ hits theaters beginning May 1.
