‘All in the Family’ Star Pays Tribute to Rob Reiner After Tragic Death

In the wake of Rob Reiner’s tragic death, many of his present and former colleagues have shared public tributes to the beloved actor and director. Among them is Danielle Brisebois, who co-starred with Reiner on “All in the Family” in the 1970s. When Reiner’s and his wife, Michele Singer Reiner’s, deaths hit the news, Brisebois took to social media to honor him.

“I only knew him [as] a child, but I am glad I got to know him at all,” the actress wrote in part on Instagram. Her post included a “family” photo of all of the main members of the Bunker household, giving fans a look back at one of the actor’s earliest projects alongside her heartfelt words.

Brisebois followed her social media post with a full-length tribute to Rob and Michele a few days later. As a guest columnist for The Hollywood Reporter, she penned an article detailing her experiences with the director. “Rob Reiner was the most gentle yet genius collaborator a child actor could ever wish for,” she wrote. She also mentioned that she considers it “an honor” to have known both Rob and Michele over the years.

“God bless Rob for being truly one of ‘the good ones’ who’s inspired the world,” Brisebois continued later in the piece. She concluded the touching article by highlighting Rob’s passion for supporting equal rights, something she believes the world could use even more of today.

Brisebois was just a youngster when her character, Stephanie Mills, joined the Bunker family. The actress was nine years old when she joined “All in the Family” as Edith Bunker’s niece, and she quickly stole fans’ hearts.

Over the years, the actress turned from the small screen to the world of music, building a successful career as a singer and songwriter.

In addition to writing hits for other musical acts, Brisebois is one of the original members of the band New Radicals, and she shared in her article that the Reiners cheered them on. “As an adult, both my bandmate Gregg and I cherished running into Rob socially over the decades, who always encouraged New Radicals’ ideas and activist spirit,” she wrote.

Although Rob and Michele’s untimely passing is heartbreaking, it has brought one important thing to light: the couple positively touched many lives, including Brisebois’.
