Nancy Guthrie Update: Suspects May Have Executed the ‘Perfect Crime’ – Report

Two new ransom notes tied to the Nancy Guthrie case were once again sent to TMZ by someone claiming to know details about the suspects.

The latest emails contained shocking claims, including an alleged location where Nancy was reportedly seen and a claim that she is no longer alive.

TMZ’s founder, Harvey Levin, shared more details about these latest ransom notes and why he thinks that the suspect may have committed the “perfect crime.”

Nancy Guthrie Update: TMZ’s Harvey Levin Believes Ransom Notes Were Real

In the latest episode of “Drop Dead Serious,” Levin revealed one of the reasons why he believes the ransom notes related to the Nancy Guthrie case were real.

Aside from the sender reportedly insisting that he’s not hoaxing, Levin pointed to another remark in the letter that stood out to him.

“The other thing that just got me was, I believe it was the Tuesday after Nancy Guthrie was kidnapped, he sent us this note saying, ‘I know where she is. I know who the kidnappers are. Time is of the essence.’ That was on a Tuesday,” Levin explained to Ashleigh Banfield. “On Wednesday, we got another note from the same person, but said time is no longer of the essence, meaning I think she is no longer alive.”

He continued, “Well, if somebody is carrying out a hoax, why would they take the immediacy away and say she’s no longer alive? That made it feel to me like there’s something legit because why would he take away the incentive to get the money fast?”

Levin also mentioned that the FBI “consciously looked at this” and has tried to find out who it is, but they are reportedly “not convinced enough to pay that money.”

Levin Thinks It’s the ‘Perfect Crime’

Levin added that the “FBI believes that those ransom notes are real,” and that they were from Nancy Guthrie’s kidnapper. He also revealed that “they have done everything they can” to figure out who sent the notes, but “came up dry.”

The TMZ founder is now starting to believe that the suspects may have committed the “perfect crime.”

“The craziest thing about this is that this is 2026. And when you look at it, it’s like the perfect crime that I didn’t think that existed anymore,” Levin explained. “That you can kidnap somebody from a residential area where there are cameras that people have in their homes and yet you can’t find the car.”

He continued, “And that you’ve got these emails and you can’t trace the emails, and you got these Bitcoin addresses, and I can tell you that the FBI did something with that Bitcoin address from the kidnapper. They actually did something, came up dry there. And I just never thought of the perfect crime being something like this, where somehow you could evade everyone.”

    • Savanna knows who it is that got her mother. She’s playing the part that she doesn’t know but she does. And her sisters husbands relative took Nancy for ransom. These people are asking for bitcoin, they have to be in their 30s or 40s to know about bitcoin.

      • I agree with you 💯 plus why didn’t they just pay the kidnappers the money? Didn’t even make an attempt to pay it and now they want offer a $1 million dollar reward?? Any kidnapping that I’ve ever followed they always paid the money. Something is definitely off here. Like you said she definitely knows more than she’s claiming.

  2. Nancy was going to change her will. Taking Anne husband off of it cuz he was taking money from her accounts. Without her knowledge. N when she found out she was about to change him from being able to do that. After she left that dinner. Anne husband came back to Nancy’s house to try to reason with her. Cuz Anne n her husband were about to lose their house.
Look for Nancy’s body in Anne flower bed.

    • Best observation I’ve heard yet. I tend to believe you 100 per cent. Someone needs to look into this such as FBI etc.

  3. What did the family expect for an old woman living alone w/ no security whatsoever to speak of. Savanna knows more than she lets on or she wouldn’t be back at NBC. The whole thing shows a lack of respect for an aging parent.

  4. Why can’t they ping phones within 3 hours B4 and after the kidnapping…at sometime they may have used a cell phone even if they turned it off B4 entering the house where she lived

  5. Stupid FB l and Sheriff office, why don’t they contact the A.I.
Cover-Up Company to apply that Company’s equipment that UNCOVER a person’s face mask and exposed the culprit’s actual face. And if the law authority apply my idea, I want the 2 million dollars.

  6. Those of you who are saying the brother in law kidnapped Nancy member he passed a lie detector as did the rest of the family. Nancy was abducted due to her daughter’s fame. The perpetrator was relying on Savanaha to pay the ransom. However the police fumbled the job. They instructed her not to pay. They also handled the case like a senior who wandered off. I’d be surprised if they ever find her. The only way they will is if the perpetrator leaves Nancy in the open someplace.
