Nancy Guthrie Update: Insider Reveals Shocking New Details in the Investigation

More than two months into the Nancy Guthrie investigation, an insider claims there are still no suspects in the case.

NewsNation’s Brian Entin spoke with the confidential source, who requested anonymity to avoid repercussions with their job.

The insider revealed that the investigators have “no name on the table” yet, despite surveillance video of the masked suspect.

“The people I’ve talked to that are still in the know on this investigation tell me there’s no direct suspect right now,” the insider told NewsNation. “No name on the table.”

Nancy Guthrie Update: Still No Suspect After 2 Months of Investigation

The insider added that, considering the way the investigation has gone so far, it’s not surprising that no suspect has been identified in the Nancy Guthrie case.

“I mean, you have individuals that are either lucky as hell or more cunning than a lot of people have seen in the past,” the source said. “If you take the first extremely lucky, maybe his luck will run out, but so far it hasn’t.”

The anonymous informant continued, “But if you take the second one, that he was extremely cunning, there’s a chance that he may have covered his tracks so well that we may not find out what happened right now.”

Insider Claims Investigators Initially Thought Nancy Guthrie Wandered Off

The same insider also revealed that, in the early days of the Nancy Guthrie investigation, authorities initially believed the 84-year-old had wandered away from her home.

“Some people that actually know the intimate knowledge of this investigation have told me that there was an immediate rush to judgment on what was happening at that scene, and it was that Nancy had somehow wandered off,” the source told the outlet. “And so, they rushed to that judgment, stayed with that judgment, and then ran the investigation as if this was a search-and-rescue issue, as opposed to a possible criminal issue.”

The insider shared a message for Savannah Guthrie, stressing their hope of bringing Nancy home.

“Just because we have an incompetent lead doesn’t mean that we don’t care,” the source continued. “That we don’t want Nancy to be brought home safely, and that we’re not with her in this. We are completely with her and her family on this.”

Nancy Guthrie is believed to have been forcibly taken from her home in the early morning hours of February 1. No suspect has been publicly named in the case so far.

  1. Why was a sickly 84 year old woman left to live alone in a big house? No caregivers no security no guard dogs? The family should’ve hired help from the gitgo!

    • I asked the same question! It’s not like they couldn’t afford it! That fact of no caregivers with an 84 yr old elderly women with a pacemaker and very limited mobility doesn’t sit right with me! Maybe they need to be investigating an elder abuse case??

  2. I have been pondering the question of why an 84yr old lady was left ALONE, no reliable security cameras, no life alert around her neck or anywhere in house, no caretaker, very limited mobility, and she has a monitered pacemaker!! The family should be ashamed of themselves! And a case of ELDER ABUSE should be investigated!! Am I wrong to think this? Help!

  3. Just because she had a pacemaker and was 84 years old doesn’t mean she needed a care giver. I know lots of people who are older in worse health who live great lives on their own. Stop putting blame on the family for these sick individuals who did this crime.
