Alex Baskin Addresses New RHOBH Rumors About Dorit Kemsley

New rumors about Dorit Kemsley quickly took over Bravo social media on May 22 — and the speculation became so widespread that executive producer Alex Baskin publicly weighed in.

The online chatter started after multiple Bravo fan accounts began circulating claims about potential cast shakeups ahead of “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” Season 16. Some rumors suggested Dorit could be “paused” from the series, while others claimed bigger casting changes involving Erika Jayne, Sutton Stracke, Kyle Richards, and additional Bravo personalities were already being discussed behind the scenes.

As screenshots and alleged insider chatter spread online, fans began trying to piece together whether major changes could actually be coming to the franchise.

But the conversation escalated even further once Baskin directly responded with a “Not true 💎”.

Baskin — who serves as the CEO of 32 Flavors Entertainment and oversees Bravo franchises including “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills,” “Vanderpump Rules,” “The Valley,” and “The Real Housewives of Orange County” — reportedly replied to one viral rumor with a blunt response: “Not true.”

The screenshot quickly spread across Bravo fan pages and Reddit threads, turning the producer’s response into a major talking point among viewers.

Why the Dorit Kemsley Rumors Took Off So Quickly

The speculation surrounding Dorit did not appear out of nowhere.

Over the last year, the longtime Bravo star has remained at the center of major storylines both on and off camera following her separation from husband Paul ‘PK’ Kemsley and public fallout from both Kyle Richards and Erika Jayne.

At the same time, RHOBH fans have increasingly started trying to decode casting decisions long before Bravo officially announces anything. Social media unfollows, cryptic comments, and fan account reports now regularly fuel online speculation about who may or may not be returning each season.

Part of the frenzy also involved online chatter tied to Amanda Frances and other Bravo-adjacent personalities discussing possible Season 16 changes. Additional screenshots shared across fan pages only added more confusion as viewers attempted to sort out what was rumor versus reality.

By Thursday evening, the speculation had become one of the biggest talking points in the Bravo fandom online.

Fans Are Also Focused on the Other RHOBH Rumors

Part of what made Alex Baskin’s response so intriguing to Bravo fans was how broad the original rumor actually was.

The viral post did not just mention Dorit. It also claimed that Crystal Kung Minkoff could potentially return to the franchise after previously exiting the show, while controversial newcomer Amanda Frances had allegedly been offered a contract following her first season in the Bravo spotlight.

The rumor also suggested that current cast members Erika Jayne, Sutton Stracke, Bozoma Saint John, Rachel Zoe, and Jennifer Tilly were all expected to remain involved with Season 16 in some capacity.

Because Baskin’s response simply said “Not true,” fans immediately began debating which specific part of the rumor he was actually responding to.

Some viewers questioned whether the Dorit speculation was inaccurate, while others wondered if the rumored casting details involving Crystal or Amanda Frances may have been the real issue.

As of now, Bravo has not officially confirmed any Season 16 casting decisions.

Alex Baskin Rarely Publicly Responds to Bravo Rumors

What made the situation especially notable for fans was Baskin’s direct involvement.

Bravo executives and production companies do not typically jump into online casting speculation, which made his reported response stand out almost immediately.

For many viewers, Baskin’s comment suggested that reports about Dorit potentially being sidelined were either exaggerated or entirely inaccurate.

Still, Bravo has not officially announced the Season 16 cast for “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills,” leaving fans continuing to speculate about what the next version of the franchise could ultimately look like.

And in the Bravo world, casting rumors rarely disappear quietly.
