Ryan De Nino, a star of Lifetime’s reality romance show “Married at First Sight” who appeared on season 2, has passed away at 40. His season aired in 2015, and saw him tie the knot with Jessica Castro, whom he split up with soon after the show.
He shared a final Instagram update back in June 2022, posing in shades and a chain necklace. His simple caption read, “Yup bout that time.”
TMZ reported the news on Friday, August 14, saying they learned of De Nino’s death from a family member. The outlet says the family “is not releasing details about the circumstances surrounding his death at this time.”
His sister Melissa wrote a tribute calling her brother “funny and witty” before going on, “He was fiercely loyal to those he loved. He had a huge heart, always. I can’t explain what it’s like to lose a sibling. Someone who’s been there from the beginning and shares the same memories. No matter what we were going through, I loved him immensely. Life as I know it will never be the same.”
Ryan De Nino Posted About a Shoulder Replacement A Few Years Before His Death
Back in July 2020, the reality star shared a photo of himself wearing a sling and talked about having a major surgery. He wrote, “Shoulder 1 done a couple years back, now it’s on to shoulder 2. No one told me getting old means everything gets replaced.”
Fans are sharing condolences on a “Married at First Sight” Instagram fan page. One wrote, “Too young. This is so sad.” Another chimed in, “Awww I loved him!!!” and added, “Rest in peace!!!”
Ryan De Nino Is Not the Only Reality Star to Recently Pass Away
De Nino is not the only reality star we’ve recently lost too soon. Tyler Duckworth, who appeared on six seasons of the reality action game show “The Challenge,” died at age 44 the same week as the loss of De Nino was announced.
Duckworth’s mother Joni shared in a Facebook post on Thursday, August 13, “My son, Tyler, passed away earlier this week. Cause of death has yet to be determined. I will post on Facebook about services as soon as his dad and I figure it out.”
People says they learned from police that Duckworth was “found dead in his apartment after they received a report from downstairs neighbors of water coming through the ceiling.”
The report goes on to say Duckworth was seen alive the day before his body was discovered, and that it was not immediately clear how long he’d been deceased before the officers arrived at the scene. No signs of foul play were noted, and the death was not considered “suspicious,” the mag points out.
The outlet also pointed out that just two weeks before his death, Duckworth appeared in Minneapolis at “The Challenge Mania” where he looked happy and posed with his fellow “The Challenge” alums Rachel Robinson, Brad Fiorenza, Tina Barta and Mark Long.
