‘General Hospital’ Star Reveals His Newborn Daughter’s Name After Traumatic Birth

Earlier this month, “General Hospital” star Sawandi Wilson shared the happy news that he had welcomed his first child after his wife endured a traumatic labor and delivery. Now, the actor is giving fans their first introduction to the newest member of his family.

Wilson, who portrays Dr. Isaiah Gannon in Port Charles, took to social media to share a carousel of sweet photos from his daughter’s first days of life. Along with the adorable pictures, the proud new dad finally revealed his baby girl’s full name.

The announcement quickly brought out Wilson’s “GH” co-stars and fans, who celebrated his daughter. However, some viewers couldn’t resist connecting the actor’s real-life journey into fatherhood with Isaiah’s recent baby drama in Port Charles. Read on to see what they had to say.

Sawandi Wilson Introduces Baby Zelda to the World

Wilson’s latest update comes shortly after he revealed the difficult circumstances surrounding his daughter’s arrival.

The “General Hospital” star previously shared that his wife endured a traumatic labor and birth before the couple welcomed their first child. Now, Sawandi Wilson is focusing on the happier moments that have followed as he and his wife settle into life as new parents.

His latest carousel gave followers a glimpse at Zelda during her first days while also answering one of the biggest questions fans had following her arrival: her name.

“The Legend of: Zelda Dana Eilinsfeld Wilson,” the actor announced.

While Wilson may spend his days portraying Dr. Isaiah Gannon and dealing with plenty of drama in Port Charles, the photos showed an entirely different side of the actor as he celebrated one of the biggest milestones of his personal life.

And it didn’t take long for several familiar “General Hospital” faces to welcome little Zelda.

‘General Hospital’ Stars Celebrate Their Co-Star’s Growing Family

Wilson’s “GH” co-stars quickly filled the comments with congratulations, and Tabyana Ali was particularly excited about meeting the tiny new addition.

“SHES THE TINEST HUMAN IN THE WORLD!! SHES SO BEAUTIFUL AND PERFECT!!” Ali, who portrays Trina Robinson, wrote.

Meanwhile, Finola Hughes, who plays Anna Devane, was already making predictions about Zelda’s future.

“Well, obviously going to be a dancer!! Look at her extension!!! Congratulations!!!!” Hughes joked after seeing the photos.

Cameron Mathison, who portrays Drew Cain, also celebrated his co-star’s happy news, telling Wilson, “So beautiful brother so so happy for you.”

Bradford Anderson, better known to “GH” viewers as Damian Spinelli, called the photos “stunning” before sending his love and congratulations to Wilson and his family.

Anderson and Steve Burton also shared the happy news with their followers on the Stone Cold and the Jackal social media pages. Alongside an adorable photo of the newest addition to the extended “GH” family, the pair wrote, “NAME GAME: Sawandi Wilson Introduces The World To Zelda Dana Eilinsfeld.”

Fans were equally excited about the introduction, with many commenting on both Zelda and her distinctive name.

“Love her name!! Congratulations, she’s gorgeous!!” one viewer wrote.

Another congratulated Wilson on his “beautiful baby girl,” adding that they loved her name and encouraging the new parents to enjoy parenthood.

However, this is “General Hospital,” so it wasn’t long before fans found a way to connect Wilson’s real-life baby news to some very complicated Port Charles paternity drama.

Fans Can’t Resist Connecting Baby Zelda to Isaiah’s ‘GH’ Storyline

While most viewers simply congratulated Wilson and his family, a few “General Hospital” fans couldn’t resist having a little fun with the timing of the actor becoming a first-time father.

“Oh good. He’s got his own baby now. Lol,” one fan joked.

The comment was a clear reference to the recent questions surrounding Isaiah’s potential connection to Portia Robinson’s son, Desmond.

On “General Hospital,” the possibility that Isaiah could be Desmond’s biological father became part of Portia’s increasingly complicated storyline. While it was ultimately determined that Isaiah was not the baby’s father, not every viewer is convinced that the paternity mystery has truly been put to rest.

One particularly skeptical fan connected the storyline directly to Wilson’s real-life news.

“First he has a son on T.V. And yes I am convinced that the baby is his and now in real life he has a daughter congratulations,” the viewer wrote.

Whether those suspicious “GH” fans eventually turn out to be right about Isaiah remains to be seen. Away from Port Charles, however, there’s no paternity mystery surrounding Wilson’s newest role.

After a frightening start to their journey into parenthood, Wilson and his wife are now celebrating their little girl, Zelda Dana Eilinsfeld Wilson, with plenty of love coming from his “General Hospital” family along the way.
