‘Star Trek’ Actress Confirms Her Portrayal of Fan-Favorite Character Is Complete 

Jess Bush has revealed that she has finished portraying her character in the “Star Trek” franchise, putting an end to her role in the series. The Australian actress, who appeared as a contestant on “Australia’s Next Top Model,” has revealed that she has wrapped filming on “Star Trek: Strange New Worlds” and will no longer play Nurse Christine Chapel.

“Star Trek: Strange New Worlds” star Jess Bush is now done with the franchise. The news comes directly from Bush, who made the revelation on her personal Instagram account. She included a series of images of the behind-the-scenes of the series, such as the various members of the cast working in the set

“This feeling is very big. I could not be more thankful for the five years I got to spend growing with this group of people. That’s a wrap on the chap,” wrote Bush in the caption.

The actress has starred in the Paramount+ series since the first season debuted in 2022. However, with the show coming to an end with its fifth and final season, it was only a matter of time before Bush would wrap up filming and conclude her time on “Star Trek “

Chapel first appeared as a character in “Star Trek: The Original Series” and subsequently made appearances in everything from “Star Trek: The Animated Series” to “Star Trek: The Motion Picture.” She was originally portrayed by Majel Barrett up until 1986. Bush plays a younger version of the character in “Star Trek: Strange New Worlds” who takes on a more prominent role.

Fans were quick to comment on the post and express their sadness that the show was coming to an end and also praise Bush and the rest of the cast and crew for their performances. 

One fan wrote, “Loved this show so much. It was a great addition to the franchise and a gift for fans,” while another said, “I can’t even imagine how much fun it had to be, working on this show. While I am very sad it will soon be over, Im glad that you guys get to write the final chapter on this story and have it end the way that the creators want it to.”

Fellow actress Jessica Danecker congratulated Bush, writing, “Congratulations!!! It was a delight getting to work with you & although it was brief you made an impact on me. Wishing you all the best in what’s next!”
