Jason Bateman’s Adorable Reason for Being a Taylor Swift Fan

Taylor Swift is one of the most recognizable celebrities in the world. Her musical hits span multiple genres, impacting countries around the globe. It should come as no surprise, then, that other celebrities would be fans of hers.

Jason Bateman became a fan of her music later than most. According to Parade, Bateman, 56, recently revealed what made him a “Swiftie” and who he has to thank for that.

On September 17, Bateman, 56, made an appearance on “The Jimmy Fallon Show” to promote his new Netflix limited series, “Black Rabbit.” During that appearance, he spoke with the host about going to an Eras Tour performance.

“I went to a concert. … It was very impressive and really cool the connection she has with all those fans,” Bateman said to Fallon. “I got me some (friendship) bracelets there, too.”

Fallon, 51, asked the actor & podcaster, “Are you into Taylor Swift?” Bateman shared the role that his daughters played in his Swiftie fandom.

“The girls got me into the Swiftie a bit,” Bateman revealed to Fallon in the same clip. “You drive them to school, and you’ve gotta listen to their music. Otherwise, they get out and walk.”

“It’s not a bad person for them to get into, I love her music,” Fallon quipped back.

Bateman has shared many of his feelings about fatherhood and being a husband to his wife, Amanda Anka, over the years.

In an interview with Redbook Mag in 2013, he gushed about the family that he gets to come home to every night.

“Being a father of two is everything I wanted. I’m a big fan of marriage and being a dad,” Bateman revealed to Redbook. “And my wife, Amanda, makes those things easy. She spoils me; she makes the husband part simple, by doing a lot of the heavy lifting when I’m super-busy with work.”

“I try to make up for it on weekends and when I do get home. I respect that she’s having to wrangle the two kids by herself.”

People reports that when Bateman received the Best Actor in a Drama Series Award from the Screen Actors Guild in 2019 for his work in “Ozark,” he gave his “three most important people” a tribute in his acceptance speech.

“I would like to say specifically though to my wife, my two daughters — Amanda, Franny and Maple — without you, none of it would be enjoyable, and it probably wouldn’t be possible.”
