Travis Kelce is giving fans another glimpse into his excitement over marrying Taylor Swift.
The Kansas City Chiefs tight end briefly opened up about the couple’s upcoming wedding during the May 6 episode of the “New Heights” podcast, which he co-hosts with brother Jason Kelce.
What Travis Said About His Upcoming Wedding
While interviewing golf star Rory McIlroy, the conversation turned toward major life milestones—and eventually, Kelce’s wedding day.
McIlroy, reflecting on the experience of hosting the annual Masters Champions Dinner after his latest Masters win, compared the surreal gathering to what Kelce can expect when he ties the knot.
“Travis, you’ll feel this this year whenever you’re sitting at your wedding, and you have all the people in a room … it’s amazing to have all these people in the same room from your childhood … and it’s surreal. It’s unbelievable,” McIlroy said. “The only thing that I can compare it to is your wedding day because it’s like all this collection of people in the same room. It’s like wild.”
Kelce responded with a huge smile and a simple but heartfelt reaction: “I can’t wait.”
The Two Got Engaged in 2025
Though brief, the comment immediately excited fans, especially because both Kelce and Swift have largely kept details about their relationship and wedding plans private since announcing their engagement in August 2025.
The pair revealed the news through a social media carousel featuring moments from the proposal.
The playful caption read, “Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married,” instantly sending Swifties and NFL fans into a frenzy online.
Since then, the couple has shared only small tidbits about wedding planning.
Shortly after the engagement announcement, Jimmy Fallon appeared on Kelce’s podcast, where Fallon jokingly asked whether the pair would choose a DJ or live band for the reception.
“Yeah, I think we’re live music kind of people, you know?” Kelce replied.
Swift Has Previously Dished on Her Ring
Swift has also spoken briefly about her engagement while making appearances to promote her recent projects.
During an interview on “The Late Show With Stephen Colbert,” the singer reflected on what an emotional and unforgettable year 2025 had become for her.
“Yes…that’s a good year!” Swift said while discussing both her engagement and regaining ownership of her music catalog. “Like getting engaged to the love of my life, getting all my music back. Those were two things that just never could have happened.”
She continued, “I’m so grateful for both of those things happening.”
Swift later appeared on Fallon’s show as well, where she couldn’t stop admiring her engagement ring and praised Kelce for the thought he put into it.
“He did [put a lot of work into it]. He did,” she shared. “He had it for a really long time before he gave it to me, too.”
“I look at it constantly,” Swift added. “He’s just my favorite person I’ve ever met… the fact that this is the person that I get to hang out with every day forever is just like, that’s the whole thing.”
While the couple hasn’t revealed a wedding date yet, Kelce’s latest comment makes one thing crystal clear—he’s more than ready for the big day.
