Jennifer Lopez Reveals If She’d Ever Be the Next ‘Bachelorette’ — ‘Are You Crazy?’

Has ABC found its next “Bachelorette” lead after making the decision to cancel Taylor Frankie Paul’s season 22?

Short answer: no.

Jennifer Lopez made an appearance on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” this week where the host asked her point blank if she’d consider being the next “Bachelorette.” Here’s what she said:

Does Jennifer Lopez Want to Be the Next ‘Bachelorette’?

Because the “Bachelor” franchise has a gaping hole due to the cancellation of season 22 due to an explosive video showing a physical altercation between the “Secret Lives of Mormon Wives” star and her ex, Dakota Mortensen, Kimmel—also on ABC—asked the “On the Floor” singer if it’s something she’d consider.

“No. Are you crazy?” she said.

“I’m not doing anything to ruin how I feel right now,” she added, speaking on her currently single life. “It’s fantastic. I love it.”

Kimmel continued with scenarios of Lopez as the “Bachelorette” lead.

“I think it would be great if we put you in a house with 25 weirdos,” Kimmel said. “Wouldn’t it be funny even just as a prank that they haven’t met the ‘Bachelorette’ yet, and then you walk out and they all [expletive] their pants simultaneously?”

Lopez denied it vehemently.

“I can’t. I could never. I can’t do it,” Lopez said. “I’m good right now. I’m happy.”

If “The Bachelorette” isn’t in the pipeline for Lopez, 56, Kimmel suggested it might be difficult for her to find a relationship.

“I’ll meet somebody somewhere one day, if they’re good enough,” she replied.

Lopez and two-time beau Ben Affleck split again, after their first-time romance from 2003 to 2004, in 2025 after rekindling their romance decades later. Lopez has been rumored to be dating her “Office Romance” co-star Brett Goldstein, but she has since put those rumors to rest as she continues to make public remarks about her single life.

While the “Jenny From the Block” singer might be enjoying being single in real life, in her upcoming Netflix movie, “Office Romance,” that’s not the case.

The movie, also starring “Ted Lasso” star Brett Goldstein, follows a workplace connection that blurs the lines between business and personal life, according to Netflix. The two have “great chemistry,” Lopez told People.

“It just grew as we did the film together,” she said.

The “Let’s Get Loud” singer also shared how she felt working with Goldstein—and his perceived personality.

“I expected more of a rough guy, but you get this kind, gentle but also very smart person that is so charming,” she said. “That was a surprise, I think.”

She added, “I was a huge fan of his from him doing ‘Ted Lasso.’ Roy Kent, that’s one of my favorite characters. I thought he was going to be more like the character, but he was so soft-spoken and sweet and totally different.”

“Office Romance” marks a major rom-com return for Lopez, whose resume already includes movies like “Maid in Manhattan” and “Marry Me.”

Directed by Ol Parker, “Office Romance” also stars Betty Giplin, Tony Hale, Amy Sedaris, Bradley Whitford and Edward James Olmos.

The latter is reuniting with Lopez nearly three decades later after playing her father in “Selena.”

“Office Romance” drops on Netflix on June 5.
