‘The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives’ Cast Dishes on the Next Bachelorette

“The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives” cast member Taylor Frankie Paul made headlines when ABC announced she was the next “Bachelorette.” Now, her fellow Hulu cast members are showing their support for Paul’s next journey and making predictions about the upcoming season of the ABC dating show, according to E! News.

Paul is the first woman to lead “The Bachelorette” without first appearing on the franchise’s flagship show, “The Bachelor.” Instead, Paul made her name first on TikTok, where she has over five million followers. Then, Hulu made a reality show following Paul and her friends called “The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives.”

Hulu and ABC are owned by the same parent company, so Paul’s “Bachelorette” casting isn’t completely out of left field. Plus, ABC eventually aired episodes of the reality docuseries, making Paul even more recognizable to the ABC audience.

Paul has had a tumultuous dating history, so going on “The Bachelorette” may be just what she needs to find lasting love. Her Hulu costars are definitely excited for Paul to go on this experience.

At the “Dancing With The Stars” premiere, Whitney Leavitt told E! News correspondent Will Marfuggi that Paul is going to be a great “Bachelorette,” specifically saying, “She’s gonna crush it.”

In fact, Leavitt admitted she hadn’t watched the ABC dating franchise in some time, but she would definitely be tuning in to see her friend as the lead.

Jen Affleck shared a similar excitement and admitted that the “Secret Lives of Mormon Wives” cast has high hopes for whoever Paul ultimately picks. Affleck claimed Paul has a type when it comes to men, but her friends just want Paul to be happy.

Leavitt got more specific with what she’s looking for in Paul’s next beau. She wants “someone that really recognizes her resilience and the woman that she is and doesn’t take advantage of it.”

What to Know About Taylor Frankie Paul

Paul was surprised to get the news of her new gig, she she expressed on Alex Cooper’s podcast “Call Her Daddy.” However, the surprise was definitely welcome, as Paul had hoped to someday find love on the ABC show.

Paul has three children, which is rare for “Bachelorette” leads. That being said, Paul isn’t the first mom to lead the show; Emily Maynard had a daughter when she lead of “The Bachelorette” season 8. Joan Vassos, the original “Golden Bachelorette,” has four adult children.

“The Bachelorette” usually airs in the spring or summer after “The Bachelor,” but ABC declined to air a new season in 2025, prompting speculation that the show may be canceled. Luckily for fans, Paul’s season will air in 2026.
