Elisabeth Hasselbeck Says She and Whoopi Goldberg Are ‘Open’ With One Another
Elisabeth Hasselbeck said she and Whoopi Goldberg have a long friendship that is based on an “open” way of communicating. In an Instagram clip from “The View” podcast, “Behind the Table,” She told the show’s Executive Producer Brian Teta that this dialogue has served them well.
Hasselbeck said, “Open communication. Whoopi and I started very open in our communication, and our first day wasn’t the best for either of us long ago.”
“But I think it’s because we’re both very real and we’d rather deal with something that’s hard in front of us than deal with something that’s presumed on the side,” the commentator continued. “We are very clear people.”
“We became really good friends throughout the show. She is so loving to my family.”
“I’ve seen her in enough situations to know she sees the heart of a person, and she wants good. Her opinions on an issue will never stop me from holding her hand, and I hope it doesn’t stop her from holding mine,” Hasselbeck continued.
She concluded, “She is the first person I will call in difficult situations to hear her voice and her heart. We have a trust with one another, so while we might disagree at the [Hot Topics] table, I hold so much admiration for her.”
