’90 Day Fiancé’ Stars Announce First Baby After Fertility Struggles

Reality television couple Julia Trubkina and Brandon Gibbs have shared exciting news with fans, announcing they are expecting their first child together after years of marriage and documented fertility challenges on the hit TLC series, “90 Day Fiancé.”

The couple, who appeared on Season 8 and are currently featured on “90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After?” Season 9, revealed their pregnancy announcement on August 26 through social media and TLC’s official channels.

Overcoming Medical Challenges

Julia and Brandon’s road to parenthood has been marked by significant medical obstacles that were prominently featured on their reality show storyline. Julia had previously received devastating news from a Russian doctor who informed her that pregnancy would likely not be possible for her.

“Big news, we’re expecting!” the couple shared with People Magazine. “It’s both exciting and a little surreal, but we couldn’t be more thrilled to step into this new chapter. Thank you all for the love and support. We can’t wait to share the journey with you!”

The pregnancy announcement comes after Brandon persistently encouraged Julia to seek a second medical opinion in the United States, a decision that appears to have been crucial in their fertility journey. The current season of “90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After?” openly documents their struggles with conception, providing viewers with an intimate look at their challenges.

Julia has been candid about her health issues, addressing them directly in social media posts. In an August 3 Instagram post, she explained her medical history in detail. “I usually don’t like to explain or clarify anything, but now I’ve decided to do it. There are too many people who know more about my life and health than I do,” she wrote, according to The National Desk.

She continued by describing her specific health concerns: “In Russia, when I took tests, I knew that I had problems with the thyroid problems. My periods don’t come every month as they should, sometimes they can happen once every few months and last for two weeks with terrible pain. The egg doesn’t always work as it should. I’ve had cystitis since I was 14, which unfortunately can’t be treated, but can only be stopped with medication.”

Sharing the Joy with Fans

Both Julia and Brandon took to their individual Instagram accounts to share pregnancy photos and ultrasound images with their followers. Julia expressed her emotions about making the announcement public, writing: “There is so much to say, I will start with this, it is not usual for me and it is very strange to talk about this, but I have to start.”

Brandon shared his own feelings about impending fatherhood, posting: “Can’t believe I’m sharing this news. I am excited but nervous as I want to be the best Dad I can be.”

The announcement video shared on TLC’s Instagram page also featured their dog Nalla, who appeared excited about the upcoming addition to their family. “Thank you so much for all of your love and support,” Julia said in the video.

Fellow 90 Day Fiancé cast members quickly congratulated the couple in their comment sections. Darcy Silva wrote: “Awww love you both! Congratulations! So excited for you both!” while Elizabeth Castravet commented: “Yay!!!!! Congratulations Julia and Brandon.”

The couple’s journey began on Season 8 of “90 Day Fiancé”, where viewers watched Julia relocate from Russia to Virginia to live with Brandon and his parents on their farm. They married in April 2020 after a long-distance relationship and have since appeared on multiple franchise spin-offs.
