One “90 Day Fianceé” star’s busy year is about to get even more exciting. Veah Netherton has announced via an exclusive reveal with People.com on May 26 that she and her husband are expecting their first child. The reality TV star survived a serious illness following her time on set,
Netherton appeared on “90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days,” which aired from 2024 through 2025. The show differs from others in the series, as it follows couples who have an existing relationship, but who have not met in person due to living in different countries.
In the show, Netherton was seeing Sunny Mahdi, but they did not end up tying the knot. Instead, after filming, Netherton married David Chairez. The pair met when Chairez came to watch Netherton’s dog. Unfortunately, during the time of filming, Netherton was struggling with her health, and things got worse after she finished filming. It was during this time that her relationship with Chairez blossomed.
Netherton Reveals Pregnancy With First Baby
In an exclusive shared on People.com, Netherton has revealed that she and Chairez are expecting their first baby. She explained that her first trimester wasn’t the easiest, stating, “I was pretty sick during my first trimester and threw up almost every day, but thankfully I’m feeling back to myself now.”
Netherton revealed that her pregnancy has been a special surprise for her mother. This baby will be her first grandchild, making the reveal after a trip to Texas extra exciting. Netherton explained, “This will be their first grandchild, so it made it so much more special.”
The couple is already planning a gender reveal party with their family. Netherton explained that they don’t yet know what they’ll be having, but their family has known since she was 10 weeks pregnant.
Chairez Cared for Netherton While She Recovered From Illness
While the couple is celebrating happy milestones in 2026, things looked very different this time last year. Netherton explained in a social media post on May 25 that, “Less than a year ago I was bedridden sick, and David was my full time caregiver while working and going to school.”
She added, “I’ll never stop being grateful for my health back and for a man who truly meant in sickness and in health.”
When Netherton first fell ill while filming “90 Day Fiancé,” it was believed that she had a possible brain tumor. The posts covering her diagnosis have since been edited or removed from her Instagram account. However, in a more recent Instagram post, she explained, “Test after test, doctors couldn’t figure it out. Looking back now, I know it was spiritual.”
She attributes her strong relationship with Chairez and her spirituality to the hardships of her recovery. It wasn’t mentioned in the People.com reveal when Netherton and Chairez will welcome their new family member, but the couple has plenty to look forward to now that she has recovered.
Netherton ended the reveal with an exciting comment about the future, stating, “We’re beyond excited to be parents and have started receiving gifts from our registry and setting up the nursery. That made it seem so much more real.”
