“90 Day Fiancé” star Chantel Everett is taking a major step forward in her personal life — she’s engaged to longtime partner Ashley Bowen.
The couple confirmed the news to PEOPLE on Tuesday, December 23.
The couple’s engagement marks a happy milestone for Everett, who first became a fan favorite on the hit reality series for her candid personality and family-driven storylines.
The two got engaged at a Renaissance castle in Helen, Georgia.
Everett and Bowen have been together for several years, building a life filled with love, creativity and mutual support.
Fans of the “90 Day Fiancé” franchise may remember Everett’s journey with her ex-husban Pedro Jimeno where she navigated the challenges and joys of an international relationship.
Their relationship played out over the course of five seasons on the spinoff “Family Chantel.”
Her connection with Bowen blossomed as they shared experiences both on- and off-screen.
Everett Recenty Came Out
While appearing on “90 Day: Hunt for Love,” Everett bravely opened up to cast members and revealed that she had feelings for Bowen.
“I feel like being able to experience all of the guys here really made it clear to me that I have something else that is for me back in Atlanta, that I have somebody at home,” she said during the show.
She added, “I am officially public about my sexuality and it feels great.”
The couple couldn’t be happier as they expressed it to PEOPLE while announcing the relationship update.
“Our love feels like it was written in the stars. So romantic, so authentic, so raw,” the couple said. “We love that about ourselves. We love that about our love story.”
How the Two Met
Everett met her now fiance through her brother River.
In a September 2025 interview with Swooon she dished on how their relationship came to be.
“I met Ashley through River and partying, basically. I met her through River at one of his birthday parties, and we got really close after that, and she just became a really good friend of mine,” she told the outlet.
She added how the two just started out as friends, but she soon started to wonder if there was more between the two,
“I remember asking one of my friends one time, I was just wondering like, ‘Do you think Ashley likes me?’ And they’re like, ‘Oh no, no, she doesn’t like you. She’s just being a really good friend.’ But hindsight’s 20/20. She had romantic feelings for me,” she recalled.
