TLC Star Bravely Opens Up About Her Son’s ‘Terrifying’ Hospital Visit

“Little People, Big World” alum Jacob Roloff and his wife, Isabel Rock Roloff, had a terrifying experience when their 4-year-old son was rushed to the hospital.

“My sweet boy came down with RSV, and it sent us to the ER last night with his oxygen as low as 80 and his heart rate as high as 180,” Isabel shared via Instagram on Sunday, March 8. “Is there anything more terrifying than seeing your kiddo not be able to breathe?? I am just so thankful he’s okay. We’re home and healing! Here’s to healthier days ahead.”

Isabel Rock Roloff Receives Support From Family and Friends

After sharing the news of their traumatic hospital experience, Rock Roloff was flooded with thoughts and prayers from friends and family.

“Oh no! I hope Mateo is doing ok now and on the road to getting better 🙏🏻💙” her mother-in-law and fellow TLC alum Amy Roloff commented.

“Not a more helpless feeling in the world that watching one of your babies hurt. ❤️ Glad you’re home!” a friend wrote.

“That is terrifying! You must have been beside yourself. Glad the little guy is on the mend.”

Mateo is the only child of Isabel and Jacob, who prefer to keep him off of social media. The couple welcomed the toddler in December 2021.

“Thank you for all the love and good thoughts sent our way,” Isabel later shared in her Instagram Story. “Mateo is doing okay. Recovering.”

She continued, “RSV is no joke but him being older gives him a better chance at fighting it off better. Love is being sent back to all of ya tenfold.”

Isabel Roloff and Jacob Roloff Live on the Family Farm

Despite drama between Matt Roloff and his adult sons over the sale of their beloved Roloff Farms, Jacob—Matt’s youngest son with ex-wife Amy Roloff—continues to tend to the land.

“He didn’t [get the farm]! We live on the property along with Matt [Roloff] who owns it still,” Isabel shared in a TikTok update in November 2025. “We rent our house and Jacob works here full time. I care for the animals.”

She added, “Jacob also grows the produce, vegetables, fruit and this year he grew 60,000 lbs of pumpkins! We hope to keep the farm alive as long as we have anything to do with it.”

In addition to Jacob, Matt and Amy share twin sons Jeremy and Zach, as well as daughter Molly.
