Kate Gosselin, who is best known for starring on TLC’s “Jon & Kate Plus 8,” has recently found herself back in the spotlight after going Instagram official with her former bodyguard, Steve Neild in November. Neild was the same bodyguard who worked with the Gosselin’s when they rose to stardom with their family reality TV show in 2008.
As Gosselin has become more comfortable about sharing her life with Neild, fans are now speculating that the mother of eight might have already tied the knot after spotting a ring on that finger.

GettyKate Gosselin cleared up marriage buzz on TikTok after a fan spotted a glittery ring on her left hand. In the clip, Gosselin is seen looking through racks of clothing when a ring on that finger was visbly noticeable.
In the comment section of her post, a fan wrote, “Whooaaaa. Did you get married? I am so happy that you are happy. And how have you kept the weight off over your recovery?”
Gosselin then shot down any marriage speculation, writing back, “No lol that’s just my regular jewelry. I didn’t — I gained 15 pounds but hope now that I’m moving around it’ll go 😩.”
Of course, other fans also questioned Gosselin’s mysterious ring, commenting, “Wedding ring perhaps!???” However, a fan replied, “No just jewelry she has had for years.”
Gosselin’s video was taken in New Zealand, where she is spending time with her boyfriend, Steve Neild. Her clip was captioned, “Go shopping on Waiheke Island with us!”
Gosselin went Instagram official with Neild in November 2025. Her post was captioned, “One girl. 10 Things I’m obsessed with,” with Neild being one of them at number two. She shared photos of the two of them on the beach and vacationing with each other.
Gosselin Gave a Positive Update After Suffering a ‘Life-Altering’ Leg Injury
In the TikTok, fans also noticed that Gosselin was shopping on crutches after suffering an injury in September 2025, when her puppy ran into her, resulting in a tibial plateau fracture. At the time, she had asked fans for prayers and continued to update fans on social media about her recovery journey, per Page Six.
In December, Gosselin shared in another TikTok that doctors cleared her to gradually walk again after 82 days of not walking. In her video, Gosselin shares, “Here’s my skinny little girl leg that I’m going to build up muscle.”
She added, “The answer is yes. I’m allowed to walk. I have to start at 25 percent, the 50 percent, then 75 percent, 100 percent. So you won’t see me really walking immediately, but I’m excited.”
On Instagram, Gosselin has continued to show progress in her recovery, even walking with the help of a crutch from the beach to the ocean in New Zealand.
