Liz Woods is opening up about one of the most difficult chapters of her life — and sharing the news with someone new.
In an emotional moment from the Monday, March 9 episode of “90 Day: The Single Life,” Woods sits down with a new love interest named Villa and reveals details about her health struggles, including her ovarian cancer diagnosis.
During the conversation, Woods becomes emotional as she explains that she hasn’t shared her illness with many people.
Woods Bravely Opens Up
“I’m definitely here to, like, work on my mental health, and I don’t share with a lot of people, like, how I’m sick right now,” she begins. “It’s about a year ago I found out that I had ovarian cancer when I miscarried a baby, which also makes my past really hard because that’s how I thought I was going to, like, build a relationship with.”
The TLC star explains that the diagnosis came during an already painful time in her life and has made dating feel especially complicated.
Following her most recent breakup, Woods admits she worries how potential partners might react when they learn about her health.
“I kind of just ripped the Band-Aid off of my relationship, and I just really felt like I just went on the whole journey by myself of being sick,” she says. “I’m definitely scared that, like, my sickness can push someone away. Do I date? Do I put myself out there? Is someone going to leave me because of it? Is someone not going to be ready to take on everything that I come with?”
Villa responds with empathy, reassuring Woods that he appreciates her honesty.
“It’s a lot for you to take on, but I’m glad you brought it up now,” he tells her. “I’m glad you were able to share that with me. It means a lot.”
Woods Revealed She Had Cancer in 2025
Fans were first introduced to Woods through the 90 Day Fiancé universe, where she appeared alongside ex-boyfriend Ed Brown.
The couple became known for their turbulent relationship, breaking up more than 11 times during their time on the show.
In May 2025, Woods confirmed publicly that she had been battling cancer after rumors about her health began circulating online.
“I can confirm the rumors of cancer. I have it in my stomach and it’s been a long exhausting year,” she wrote at the time. “I’m extremely tired all the time but I have never been more focused on my health and I make sure I surround myself with healthy relationships.”
Earlier this year, Woods shared another difficult update about her condition.
In January, she revealed that doctors had discovered an additional cancerous mass on her ovaries and that she would be undergoing further treatment.
“The drs found another cancerous mass on my ovaries and I’m taking this time to be alone with the ones closest to me,” she wrote in a heartfelt message. “The next step is a hysterectomy.”
Despite the challenges, Woods continues to focus on her recovery while cautiously opening herself up to the possibility of love again.
