“Welcome to Plathville” star Olivia Plath confirmed she is leaving the popular TLC show.
In a lengthy Tuesday, September 30 post to her Instagram Stories, she shared that tonight’s episode will be her final appearance.
“Today, the last scene/episode of Welcome to Plathville that I will ever film will air,” she began.
“When I look back at the last 7 (!) years of my life on this show, I feel so many emotions. In many ways, I grew up with all of you watching and supporting me. I was a sheltered, newly married, fundie kid when the show started and had no clue who I was,” she expressed to fans.
She added that there were moments throughout her reality TV journey that were difficult.
She said, “The last 7 years have had their respective challenges and there were definitely moments I didn’t think I’d see the other side, but I’m here to prove myself wrong.”
The 27-year-old expressed that she has some sadness for it being her last episode.
“This chapter closing brings some sadness—it is sad for me to see who I once knew, what they had the potential to become and the path they chose instead. It could have been so different,” she noted.
Olivia Plath Has Been Mainly Absent This Current Season
Olivia has been a fixture on the show since its first season in 2019. She married Ethan—the oldest of Kim and Barry’s children—shortly before filming started.
The two ended up separating in 2023 and later filed for divorce. Olivia was mainly absent from the current season of the show. She is set to reunite with Ethan as the two are still in the process of trying to get a divorce.
Olivia Is Moving Forward
The reality TV star also updated fans that she was happy to be able to get out of her contract.
“And since then, I’ve worked hard to get out of my contract—and succeeded!” she told fans. However, she noted that she still has “an NDA” to follow.
“I have not only endeavored to distance myself from hate, bullying, but also reported harmful behavior, and tried to stand up for what is right,” she continued. “It sickens me to see violence, hatred, and dysfunction presented as entertainment.”
Olivia also added an option to the Story where fans can ask her questions, and she said she plans to answer anything that isn’t in her NDA.
