“When Calls the Heart” co-stars Kevin McGarry and his wife, Kayla Wallace, secretly tied the knot in 2024 after confirming their romantic relationship in 2020, Us Weekly reported. While they’ve been married for two years, McGarry shared in a new interview with Swoon that they haven’t had the opportunity to go on a honeymoon.
“We haven’t had a honeymoon yet, so we really have to get on that,” he admitted. “Getting married was a must, and we got that out of the way. And now, we’ll find some time to do a honeymoon. It’ll be fantastic, but we’re very busy.”
Although the couple no longer share the screen after Wallace left “WCTH” to take on a role in Paramount+’s “Landman,” Hope Valley’s constable has immense gratitude for the hit Hallmark show for bringing them together after having met on the set.
Kevin McGarry Thanks ‘WCTH’ for Introducing Him to Wife Kayla Wallace
“I owe a lot to ‘When Calls the Heart’ for not only helping my career and giving me a job and meeting all my friends, but meeting Kayla, meeting my wife; it’s been the most special part of being on that show,” McGarry shared.
When asked if fans can expect to see him and Wallace on-screen together again after her departure from “WCTH” following season 10, McGarry teased the potential.
“We love working together. I think it’s just more right now; Kayla’s kind of got her own trajectory, going in a different direction, and I think she wants to focus on that,” McGarry said. “I’d never say never. But, like I said, she’s a busy lady right now, and she’s got prior commitments.”
Kevin McGarry Shares How ‘Proud’ He Is of Wife Kayla Wallace
GettyMcGarry went on to gush over how proud he is of Wallace for landing such a significant role as an attorney in “Landman,” which has seen great success in its first two seasons.
“I knew that she had that side in her. I saw the side she’s doing, but she’s absolutely killing it. She’s fantastic. Everyone on that show is fantastic,” he applauded of Wallace, who stars alongside Billy Bob Thornton. “I’m very proud of her. She deserves all of this, and I’m also enjoying watching ‘Landman,’ too.”
Although McGarry and Wallace have now taken on roles in separate television shows, the two have also shared the screen in Hallmark rom-coms “Feeling Butterflies” and “My Grown-Up Christmas List.”
While Wallace is busy with the renewal of “Landman” season 3, hopefully the couple will soon be able to find the time for the honeymoon their love so very deserves!
