90s Leading Lady Bridget Fonda, 62, Looks Happy and Confident in Rare LA Outing

Bridget Fonda looked happy and confident during a rare outing in Los Angeles. The 62-year-old former actress was photographed enjoying a sunny day in the city. Her relaxed appearance offered a glimpse at the star’s life away from Hollywood. In other rare 90s celebrity sightings, Michael J. Fox was spotted at a John Mayer concert.

Bridget Fonda Looks Relaxed in Los Angeles

According to Hello!, Fonda stepped out in Los Angeles for a shopping day on Tuesday. The actress kept her outfit casual and comfortable for the outing.

She wore a white crew-neck top under an open light denim shirt. The sleeves were rolled to her elbows. She paired the look with loose, flowing dark gray trousers and gray slip-on sneakers.

Fonda also carried a large black shoulder bag. A chain-link strap crossed her body. She held a purple gift bag in one hand.

Her silver-gray hair was pulled into a short ponytail. She also wore round, wire-rimmed glasses.

Bridget Fonda Has a Lot to Smile About

The recent sighting comes after years away from the spotlight. Fonda was once one of Hollywood’s most recognizable leading ladies.

Her film credits include “The Godfather Part III,” “Single White Female” and “Jackie Brown.” She also appeared in “A Simple Plan,” “Lake Placid” and “Kiss of the Dragon,” according to the Daily Mail.

She came from one of Hollywood’s most famous families. Her father was the late Peter Fonda. Her aunt is Jane Fonda.

Yet Bridget Fonda built a career of her own. She took on a wide range of roles during the late 1980s and 1990s.

Her success did not always translate into confidence. Hello! reported on a 2000 interview in which the actress spoke candidly about her struggles with self-esteem.

“What is it with my low self-esteem?” she asked at the time.

She also admitted that she often compared herself with other people. “I’m trying to be happy with my career,” Bridget Fonda said.

“I think I should give myself a break,” she added.

Those comments offer an interesting contrast to the relaxed image seen today.

Leaving Hollywood Changed Her Perspective

Fonda’s decision to leave acting was shaped by several major changes in her life. In 2003, she was involved in a serious car accident.

According to the Daily Mail, the rollover crash happened during heavy rain. It left Bridget Fonda with two fractured vertebrae.

She later focused on her recovery and family life. Fonda married composer Danny Elfman in 2003. The couple went on to welcome their son, Oliver.

Her final onscreen role was in the 2002 television movie “Snow Queen.” She has not returned to acting since then.

In a 2023 conversation with a paparazzo, Bridget Fonda was asked about returning to the movies. Her response was clear.

“I don’t think so,” she said.

“It’s too nice being a civilian.”

That comment summed up her approach to life outside Hollywood.

Today, Bridget Fonda appears to be embracing a quieter chapter. Her latest LA outing showed her looking relaxed, confident and comfortable. For fans who remember the ’90s leading lady, it was a rare and welcome glimpse at the woman she has become. Meanwhile, Jennifer Aniston has opened up about her fear of public speaking.
