All eyes are on “Chicago Med” Season 12, as the premiere date rolls closer. It’s still the middle of the summer, though, and that means everyone is relying on casting news to get an idea of what to expect.
The “One Chicago” series is about to land an iconic guest star. “Beverly Hills, 90210” star Gabrielle Carteris will join the show in a guest spot, and while the star herself revealed no details, showrunner Allan McDonald was more than happy to share a little more.
Gabrielle Carteris Teased Her Guest Spot on the ‘One Chicago’ Show
Carteris took to Instagram to share her guest spot on the series. She shared one photo, with a banner in the background that read “Congratulations on your 200th episode,” with the caption that read “Can’t tell you more than that…yet!”
The banner itself is up from the second hour of “Chicago Med” Season 11, so that has nothing to do with the exact episode the ’90s star will be involved in. It’s just a great way for her to mark that she will be on this of the three “One Chicago” shows.
“Beverly Hills, 90210” fans know Carteris best as Andrea Zuckerman from the first five seasons of the series. She returned for the meta version of the reboot in 2019, where she played herself, and her most recent guest spots include a 2022 episode of “911” and a 2025 episode of “Middlehood.” This is her first guest spot on TV since then, but Carteris is often busy as a trade union leader.

While that is somewhat disappointing for fans of the ’90s series who want to see more of her, it does mean she gets to be a little more outlandish. McDonald shared with Give Me My Remote that Carteris will be in one episode as the mother of a groom.
There will be a wedding during the “Chicago Med” Season 12 Premiere, although he refused to go into any more details than that. While there were no proposals during the 11th season finale, it doesn’t rule out something surprising in the works. However, considering this wedding is described as a “doomed” one, it makes more sense that this is going to be all about one-off characters needing medical attention. Maybe one of the doctors is a guest at the wedding.
There are minimal details about the “Chicago Med” Season 12 Premiere right now. What fans have learned is that there will be a multi-month time jump, which is going to be interesting when it comes to keeping up with the timeline of other “One Chicago” shows, especially “Chicago Fire.” Fans have also learned that Archer will appear in the “Chicago Fire” Season 15 Premiere, which covers the aftermath of the fire at the end of Season 14, and eyes will be on any crossover events.
“Chicago Med” Season 12 premieres on Oct. 7, 2026, on NBC, and it will kick off Wednesday’s “One Chicago” night for the season. Episodes stream on Peacock the following day.
