Beloved actor Chuck Norris passed away on Thursday, March 19, in Hawaii at the age of 86, his family revealed in a heartbreaking statement.
“It is with heavy hearts that our family shares the sudden passing of our beloved Chuck Norris yesterday morning. While we would like to keep the circumstances private, please know that he was surrounded by his family and was at peace,” they wrote on Instagram. “To the world, he was a martial artist, actor, and a symbol of strength. To us, he was a devoted husband, a loving father and grandfather, an incredible brother, and the heart of our family.”
He is survived by his second wife Gena, and his five children, Mike, Dina, Eric, Danilee, and Dakota. So with that, here are five fast facts about his children.
1. Mike Norris Owns A Movie Studio
Chuck’s oldest son, Mike Norris, followed in his father’s footsteps, pursuing a career in Hollywood. He began as an actor, starring in the 1986 film “Born American,” as well as the 1991 movie “Delta Force 3: The Killing Game.”
He and his wife own 2nd Fiddle Entertainment, which is a movie studio, where Mike has help produce and direct numerous films.
2. Dina Norris Didn’t Meet Her Father Until She Was Older
GettyDina Norris was born in February 1963, growing up with just her mother, who was named Johanna because Chuck Norris didn’t know about her. He and Johanna had a short relationship, but he was already married to his first wife, Dianne Holechek.
The actor opened up about this in his 2004 biography, where he revealed she reached out to him in 1991 at 26 years old, saying she was his biological daughter. The two ultimately met up and from then on, they have had a very close relationship.
3. Eric Norris Was The 2022 NASCAR Winston West Series Champion
GettyEric Norris had a career in both racing and acting, going on to serve in numerous movies as a stuntman. His credits include movies such as “Invasion U.S.A.,” Avenging Force,” and “Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country.”
In 2002 he was the NASCAR Winston West Series Champion.
4. Dakota Norris Is A Fifth Degree Black Belt
Similar to his father, Dakota is 5ᴛʜ degree black belt in Chun Kuk Do, which is also known as the “Chuck Norris System” and is a five-time UFAF ITC Champion.
5. Danilee Norris Got Engaged Shortly Before Her Father’s Passing
In an Instagram post on February 12, Danilee shared a series of photos from her engagement to Garrett Barnfield.
“Many will say “it’s about time”, but I say that it was just perfect!! 💍,” she captioned the post. “This day felt like a dream and it’s all because of you @garrett_barnfield I love you ❤️”
