‘American Idol’ Winner Releases Heartfelt Love Song for Wife After Romantic Vegas Wedding

Rising country star and “American Idol” winner Chayce Beckham has released his new single, “Holdin’ You, Lovin’ You,” a heartfelt love song dedicated to his wife, Ashley Britt. The couple exchanged vows in September during a small Las Vegas ceremony officiated by an Elvis Presley impersonator.

Beckham said the song captures the love and loyalty they have shared for more than a decade. “This is such a special song for us. It’s about holding onto the ones you love,” he said.

The lyrics reflect his gratitude for Britt’s support through the years, especially during the moments when all he could give her was a song and the promise of a future together.

Beckham also released a portion of the lyrics, giving fans a look at the personal message behind the song:

“Oh so I’ma keep on holdin’ you, lovin’ you
Doin’ all the things that I wanted for so long
Yeah I, I know it’s late, I’m sorry babe
But I don’t wanna wait ‘cause I’ve waited far too long
When all I could give you was a song
Somehow you kept hangin’ on
So I’ll keep on holdin’ you, lovin’ you”

The singer explained that their shared history made the song especially meaningful.

A Longtime Love Story & Their Decision for a Small Ceremony

Beckham and Britt have been together for 11 years, and he recently explained why they decided to keep their wedding intimate.

During an appearance on the “Diving In Deep with Sara Evans” podcast, Beckham said they wanted to focus on their future instead of throwing a big celebration.

“We’re going to buy or build a house and also get me into a bus permanently at some point,” he said. “So we’ve got other things that both of us would rather spend our money on than throwing a big old wedding. And we never really wanted one anyway.”

The couple has since shared photos and video from their Las Vegas ceremony with fans.

“American Idol” will return to ABC on January 26, 2026.
