Hannah Harper showed up for the “American Idol” Season 24 finale ready to go. She was trying to show voters why she deserved to be named the winner of “American Idol” 2026. The 25-year-old from Willow Springs, Missouri, showed off her amazing country vocals tonight and turned the stage into a showcase of who she is and where she’s headed.

Top 3 Kick Things Off
The night starts with the Top 3 taking the stage to perform “The Champion” by Carrie Underwood. Seems fitting, as we will have a champion crowned tonight. A strong start to the night.
Alicia Keys’ Song Performance
Alicia Keys is mentoring the Top 3 this week, so they will be singing one of her songs. Hannah said she will be singing “No One.” Alicia said she can make this her own by adding that bluegrass touch to it. She is dedicating this one to her husband and what he’s sacrificed for her during this journey. This one was interesting for me. I think she has a strong voice, but this is such a popular song, and I feel she got lost with it.
For the judges, Lionel said she took an Alicia Keys song and turned it into her own. She made it all about her and her voice, and she did great. Carrie said she is so excited. She loves how her voice makes everything sound so beautiful. Luke said her voice is like walking outdoors, walking through a beautiful garden. She’s a true artist.
Hannah’s Hometown Visit
For this performance, they will be performing a song dedicated to their hometown. They head home to Willow Spring, Missouri, for her hometown visit. She got a special gift from the moms, as it was a quilt to show how much she has inspired them. For her hometown performance, she is singing “Heads Carolina, Tails California” by Jo Dee Messina. Hannah is shocked when Jo Dee comes out to sing with her!
For tonight, Hannah performs an original song called “I Married Into This Town.” The song starts, and her dad is crying while watching, so how can you not cry? This was a touching song, and she gets emotional as it comes to an end.
For the judges, Lionel said congratulations on songwriting. She did fantastic. Carrie said she loves that she started her journey with an original song and is now ending it with another original. She is so proud of her. Luke said thank you for trusting “American Idol” to start your journey.
Hannah Sings With Her Idol
We get to see Hannah take the stage and sing “I Hope You Dance” with Lee Ann Womack. What an amazing experience for Hannah, right? This was an awesome experience. We then get a special message from Hannah’s mom. Then a special video from Hannah’s boys, as they say she is their idol.
One Final Performance
The Top 2 will perform one last time, with their audition song. This was the song that put her on the map. It’s a great song, and it does show how she would sound on her own song. A very good voice.
