Hannah Harper Shares What Life Looks Like After ‘American Idol’ Win

Hannah Harper is keeping it real with fans after giving an honest update on how her life and career have changed since winning season 24 of “American Idol” in May.

The Willow Springs, Missouri, native is letting her fans know that it’s not all glitz and glam after winning the competition. In fact, she went straight to work, making music at the recording studio and is gearing up for several tours, including reuniting with her Idol alumni and her “String Cheese Tour,” which kicks off this month.

Hannah Harper hit the ground running after her “American Idol” win. The 25-year-old mom of three has already begun working on new music after recently sharing a behind-the-scenes look at her whirlwind post-Idol life on Instagram Stories.

According to Country Now, Harper shared a makeup-free photo of herself dressed casually as she took a break from recording music to enjoy lunch from a local Mexican restaurant. In her caption, the singer reflected on her “American Idol” victory, noting that while winning the competition was a major milestone, it hasn’t changed the fact that she still has to put in the work to build her country music career.

“I know y’all picture me winning American Idol and living some fancy celebrity life now. Here I am in the luxurious sawmill studio tracking vocals, spending my lunch break with a big ol’ styrofoam cup of queso from the local Mexican restaurant,” she wrote.

Harper shared that she “never felt more successful” after Idol, which has helped open so many doors for the songstress. “Getting to make music with people I love, in a place that means so much to me, and having a hand in EVERY detail of the process—that’s the dream,” she added.

Harper’s Busy Schedule Includes Her Headlining ‘String Cheese Tour’

Harper’s schedule is packed since her Idol victory, and June is set to begin with a major career milestone: Harper will make her Grand Ole Opry debut on June 2, sharing the iconic Nashville stage alongside Carrie Underwood and Avery Anna, who recently won New Female Artist of the Year at the Academy of Country Music Awards.

Following her debut, Harper will join her season 24 alums, including runner-up Jordan McCullough and third-place Keyla Richardson, for the 19 Recordings Presents Your American Idols event for a two-night run on June 3 and 4 at 6th & Peabody in Nashville.

Harper is also set to hit the road this month for her “String Cheese Tour,” which will run through November, per her website. The tour will take her to small towns across the U.S., and Harper shared during her hometown visit on “American Idol” that her three kids will be coming along.

“I think that the goal right now is to be able to breathe for a minute and have quality time with my kids after we get out of this. That’s my main goal, and then hit the road with them and give them all the experiences of road life as I had as a little gal,” she said.

Additionally, Harper is set to join Idol alum and successful country singer Lauren Alaina on select dates on her “The Stage Tour” in October.
