Two of America’s most powerful vocal talents are teaming up for an epic summer 2026 concert tour. Beloved crooner Josh Groban and powerhouse singer Jennifer Hudson, one of the most successful “American Idol” alums in the show’s history, revealed how hard it had been to keep the tour a secret as Groban appeared on “The Jennifer Hudson Show” on December 16, 2025.
Josh Groban Calls Jennifer Hudson ‘One of the Greatest Vocalists That’s Ever Lived’
During a game they were playing on Hudson’s December 16 show, she asked him if he had any secrets he wanted to come clean about that day.
“It’s funny you should ask that, Jennifer,” he replied, “because not only do I have a secret that I’ve been holding onto for this entire segment, but we have a secret.”
Turning to Hudson, he then said, “This summer, this extraordinary, extraordinary — one of the greatest vocalists that’s ever lived, one of the most amazing people on the planet, (and) I can barely even contain myself telling you this news — has graciously agreed to come out on the road with me this summer and we’re going to be touring together!”
As the audience screamed, Hudson shouted, “Oh my god! That is my secret! You told it!” She added that she “cannot wait,” telling Groban, “to be able to tour with you is a dream.”
Ticket Details for Josh Groban & Jennifer Hudson’s Tour
Chris Haston/Warner Bros.Groban, who appeared in the spring as a mentor on “American Idol” alongside Jelly Roll, told Hudson he is “so honored” to tour with her, marveling at the chance to “blend our voices.”
He exclaimed, “The duet possibilities! You are truly one of my favorite people and favorite artists on the planet, so to be able to hit the road together as a team really just makes, absolutely makes my world.”
“This can’t be my life,” Hudson quipped, “but I am so excited. And it’s such an honor. One of the greatest vocalists in the world.”
The tour will travel across the U.S. and Canada, with 16 dates between June 2 — kicking off in Montreal — and July 3, where the tour will end in Salt Lake City.
Ticket pre-sales began on December 17, and general tickets will go on sale on December 19 at 10 a.m. in each market. According to Broadway World, a dollar from each ticket sold will be donated to Groban’s Find Your Light Foundation, supporting arts education nationwide.
