‘The Kelly Clarkson Show’ Announces Season 7 Premiere Date With Star-Studded Guest Lineup

The Kelly Clarkson Show” is returning to TV screens later this month, bringing fresh episodes and a guest lineup featuring A-list favorites. On Wednesday, September 3, NBC announced that Clarkson’s beloved daytime talk show,American Idol” alum, will return while she still navigates personal grief.

Deadline reported that Season 7, which begins production the week of September 8, will open with a heartfelt tribute to the heroes who saved campers during the devastating Texas flood in July, according to a press release (As per People).

NBC confirmed that the daytime talk show will begin production on its seventh season the week of September 8, with the premiere set for Monday, September 29.


First Week to Honor Texas Flood Survivors

Clarkson had previously been slated to perform at Band Together Texas, a benefit concert organized by Miranda Lambert and Parker McCollum, but withdrew after Blackstock’s passing.

To honor those impacted, the show’s premiere week will spotlight survivors and rescuers of the recent floods in Texas, featuring emotional “surprise moments,” according to NBC.

Clarkson Balances Talk Show Return With ‘The Voice’ While Navigating Personal Grief

The new season will mark Clarkson’s first time back in front of her audience since the tragic passing of her ex-husband, Brandon Blackstock, in August. Blackstock, who was once her manager and the father of her two children, died at age 48 following a three-year battle with malignant melanoma.

“Brandon bravely battled cancer for more than three years,” a representative for the family said as per a statement published in People.

“He passed away peacefully and was surrounded by family. We thank you for your thoughts and prayers and ask everyone to respect the family’s privacy during this very difficult time.”

In addition to her talk show, Clarkson will also return as a coach for “The Voice”. She briefly stepped away from production after Blackstock’s death, with Jennifer Hudson temporarily filling in.

This fall, Clarkson rejoins John Legend and Adam Levine, forming a panel entirely comprised of past winners of the hit competition series.

Clarkson last appeared on “The Voice” in Season 23, and her comeback in Season 29 ensures fans will see her on both daytime and primetime this fall.
