Lauren Silverman gave fans a rare look at her family life this week, sharing a series of relaxed Malibu photos with Simon Cowell, the longtime “America’s Got Talent” judge and former “American Idol” star, and their son Eric.
In a set of Instagram pictures posted on April 12, Lauren shared moments from the beachside getaway, showing the family enjoying time together over the holiday weekend. She described the trip as a “beautiful time” filled with sunshine, Easter celebrations, and time outdoors.
The photos show 12-year-old Eric in a wetsuit after heading into the ocean, while Simon kept his signature look, wearing an all-black outfit with aviator sunglasses. In another shot, Lauren wrapped her arms around Eric and Simon as they stood together on the sand.
She also revealed that Eric encouraged her to step out of her comfort zone during the trip.
Lauren Silverman Tries Surfing During Malibu Getaway
In her instagram caption, Lauren said Eric convinced her to try surfing, something she had not done before.
“Malibu round up part two. Our trip has finally come to an end but what a beautiful time we have all had together,” she wrote. “Sunshine, the outdoors, Easter and so much quality time… and yes, Eric even convinced me to try surfing! Safe to say I surprised myself.”
In another Instagram picture, Silverman posed on the beach in a wetsuit with friends after the session. She also shared a casual selfie wearing sunglasses and a hat, along with another image of her standing in a field beside a horse.
Lauren added that Malibu “never disappoint[s]” and said she felt grateful for the time spent with family and friends.
She also hinted at her next stop.
“Next stop … Miami to see Adam at uni and my parents and sister. Can’t wait to see them all,” she wrote.
Lauren Silverman Recently Opened Up About Parenting Rules
The Malibu post comes shortly after Lauren shared a personal update about parenting decisions at home with Simon.
In a separate Instagram post, she said the couple had long enforced a strict rule that Eric would not have a phone. She added that Simon himself has not owned a mobile phone for nearly eight years.
“But recently Eric had a very honest conversation with us about it that made us rethink our position slightly,” she wrote.
Lauren explained that Eric told them he was not interested in social media and only wanted to stay in touch with friends through calls and texts.
“That moment really made me stop and think about what the right approach should be,” she said. “Instead of turning it into a battle, we talked.”
She added that Eric now has a phone with clear rules in place, including no access to social media.
The Malibu trip took place in April 2026 and showed a more relaxed side of Simon, who is typically seen in a more serious role on television.
The photos offer a rare, candid glimpse into his off-screen life with family.
